I got one! Scuffed it and had it redone. Kept it in the box as a spare. Been in shed for over a year. Looks perfect except for one small air bubble from process. Thinking 350$ ???? Otherwise will stay as a spare in box.

3rd straight post, feel like I'm spamming this thread.
Came from an E60 535i 6spd to this 2011 E93 with DCT. Planning on some future mods but really enjoying in its stock form, and love the DCT. 20130915_132457 by Nahski, on Flickr Sam- |

Yes indeed, there is certainly some fickleness to this car. But worth it when the top is down listening to the exhaust as I run through the gears. Music to my ears...

I have a question for you guys about launch control: Say you're driving in manual mode (DCT) with the sport button pressed and with DTC pressed off. You come to a stop which automatically puts the car in M1. If you now hold the brake down and floor the gas, will launch control take effect, or do you have to go through the whole process from a stop? Just wondering if anyone had tried it this way. Thanks,

DelVal Poconos raceway driving school
Hey guys,
First impression first time on the track with the is, you need zero modification to this car. It truely is track ready out of the box. The only suggestion I have is better brake pads, brake fluid and possibly stainless steel brake lines Just my thoughts after two days of tracking. Going to West Virginia next to track this beast. |

will there be another 335is
If not another 335is and since the new M3/4's seem to have a lot of the 335is mechanical's ie., like the twin turbos and iline 6, do you think it makes our cars more of a collector item?

Every six cylinder BMW is an inline six and the new m3/4 doesn't use the same one from the 335is, it uses a modified n55 with twin turbos.

But I also think only a true BMW enthusiast would recognize it as a collector car. |

Just sold my 335is. first iS to hit the states. picked it up June 2, 2010. miss it every single day!
one of the best cars that I have ever owned and driven. the 7sp DCT with the N54 engine is pure sex. was looking for another iS but might end up going with a 4.
