I use "Automotive Goo-Gone". Works like a charm. Simply spray, wait a few minutes and wipe away. Available at CDN Tire too .

I use a Turtlewax bug and tar remover product. Works well. I spray and then rub it in by hand and let soak for a few minutes - then buff off with microfiber cloth. Does the trick every time. The sooner the better. Best when warm (not hot).

A friend of mine with a 2010 335 xdrive is putting a stage 2 tune and has a double cone cold air intake and BMW performance exhaust,

He is now putting on a stage 2 Ecu. Which is the best one on the market right now an what's the final figures he should have in HP and Tq?

He doesn't know name of tune but guy is telling him he should have 450 HP & Torque.

Ultracar is going to do Ecu. Not sure what tune they put on.

Is there a meet of the Montreal members coming up anytime soon? I'd look forward to meeting you and checking out your cars.

I've had mine since March, so far I've added a JB4 G5, Alpina trans flash and other key fob programming.

Maybe Catherine will jump in here...

Cheers

Thats a lot of boost (stress on stock engine parts) and torque (stress on transmission, diffs and driveshafts). I ran 15psi with 94oct giving 365hp/420tq on the dyno. My car started suffering noticeable slop from the application of stomping on the go peddle. I hope he can reflash ECU to original if he has to go back to BMW for warranty work. He'll have one zippy 335, thats for sure.

Where are you guys ordering your parts from? ECS? I have a few parts to buy and I don't want to get raped by the dealer.

I will be putting in an order for ECS at some point soon cuz they have all the fluids many sites dont all have. Their shipping is also OK. We'll see

After a bit of research and several emails, I actually found several options that I can go to. The getbmwparts sells it 1750$ but only ships to USA. Guess there will be more fee from shipping and duty. Or I can go to VAG for 3125$ parts only and they don't do the painting/installation (which CAMO quotes me around 800-1000$). Last but not the least, BMWLaval quoted me 3315$ + installation but the rep doesn't really seem to know what he is quoting me for i think....

Anyway, just wanted to share this information and let me know what you guys think!

ECS does seem to be cheap. Their brake kits looks really tempting to me...

If you need to ship to the US, ship to Freeport Forwarding and bring by hand. Lots of money saved!

Also, don't get a brake kit unless they really messed up the F30 brakes. Spend the money elsewhere I tracked my 335 for a few years on OEM pads and barely had any fade. BMW has great stock brakes.

I know, at first I just wanted to paint them. but there is a lot of post saying they got their warranty revoke due to painted calipers...
And yes I have ask them to ship then transport by hand. Now I have to think about how to minimize the duties if i get inspected and rent for a truck cuz that kit is too big for a sedan...

I once carried a 120" screen in the trunk of my E90 was funny.

You won't get warranty voided over painted calipers. Not sure why anyone would do that, but it won't cause you problems at a normal dealer.

You won't be able to avoid duties/taxes unless you take someone with you and stay 48 hours. I once convinced an agent that an almost new AA exhaust was worthless and I should be let past as it was just $100 (and took up my entire car with boxes), but I think I was dumb and naive back then, which is why it worked
