One of our offices is in oak brook, actually the one I work out of. I have been with this firm since Jan 05, was with a small firm for 18 months before that out of college. Its public accounting, I cant say i love it, but I really enjoy the folks I work with and i am still at it. When they say there is 50% turnover every 3 years, they are serious. Its 3 weeks after busy season and 3 incharges and one manager have already quit (its only 2 months until bonuses are paid and they still left already) and more are expected. Its just the nature of the beast.

Yea, at u of i, its generally expected those at the top are going public.

Honestly, interns dont really see much of a challenge, we view them as project inefficienies. Not until you start incharging jobs does the job start wearing at you.
