anyone know of a cheap laptop repair place in the bay area? I need to get a power jack replaced. older fujitsu model...

i do laptop repair.

what do u mean power jack.. u mean the jack in the rear where you plug your ac adapter into?

if thats fubar then you'll have to replace your mobo. If connection is broken or loose i may be able to re-solder the board/connector.

yup i knew it.. that u broke the pin on the dc...

what model is ur laptop.. u need to be sure that jack will fit.

I can repair it, but i've heard stories that they only sell on jack for fujitsu on that site and they fit correclty. we have to modfiy it.

Fujitsu Lifebook P5010D... I've looked around.. some sites have it from $3-8 for the jack only.. that's crazy.
