Replaced headlight lenses, painted the inner trim satin black, and removed the shitty plastic projectors and installed G5 BRTs using Lightwerks brackets. My hands and back are still sore!
DIY on how to replace lens. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2039097 |

I have the metal projector brackets but haven't had the time to do this job yet. I was also planning on using the G5-BRT. I recently learned they were upgraded/redesigned to use a curved shield for a flatter cutoff beam. |

I used this specific one, it cut like butter on the lowest setting using the wood/metal cutter. Corded 4-Amp Variable Speed Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit with Soft Case https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-4-Am...ase/5013009047 The BRT output is great, the blue coating makes the projector look pretty sweet also. Not sure about the curved shield though. |

thanks to my wife
She suggested we drive the 335 on a 170 mile round trip on Sunday.
This car has been in the household for almost 17 years. Because of our driveway, I can never really get her out. Since I junked the 1998 Maxima this year, I am able to squeeze the two other cars onto the "pad" which allows the 335 to back out. The E92 just never gets old. It has such great road manners and she did 27 mpg overall, 31 half way up, and 29 all the way up. I'll never regret purchasing the 335. Although, I do wish I were 17 years younger haha |

N54 115k km (72k miles) , should I do the rear main seal ''while I'm there'' ???
From my reading, yes, but lately I have few folks saying no, since the risk of leaking is high. I have the seal in hand, Mahle brand, and I'm using bimmer barn trick, use high temps RTV from JB weld. |

Ordered a set of Vredestein Hypertrac All-Seasons, got an appointment for next Tuesday. Replacing a now worn set of Indy 500's. Reviews looked great, and the price was right. Going to have the car aligned as well since I raised the rear. Getting it ready for the move to California in a few weeks!

I can't tell you how many other cars parts live on in my 330. The key is to find the highest production date you can with the lowest mileage possible. In your case, preferably from a location that doesn't need A/C year round, and doesn't get a lot of gridlock traffic. With a little research you can find the perfect donor 🫡

I'm prepping to change brake fluid tomorrow, so jacked it up tonight to make for a faster job in the morning. Whilst up in the air I did the golf tee mod. Tomorrow I'll install the alarm siren and get the brake fluid freshened up.

Well this is a bummer... there's an extra bracket to hold the alarm siren that I didn't realize was a thing. But it is indeed a thing. Annoyed that the siren didn't have one, more annoyed that I didn't notice it needed one. $18 from FCP, but will have to wait till my next order.
As for the brake fluid, I tried using a pressure bleeder and pretty much nothing. So resorted to the tried and true option of having your kid stomp on the brake pedal. Success! Fluid is ollllld. It's the NLA Ate blue fluid which I loved back in the day. But that hasn't been available in NA for a decade or so. Definitely time to change! It came out more black than blue! That's the old fluid in the Gatorade bottle on the left: [/url] |
