Bri thanks for the AMG event invite...had fun.
Good to see Jeff & Co there too... C63 I got sideways a tad in three turns, E63 was impressive for a big car, SL was like driving a car that needed weight watchers big time. Bi turbo too much lag, found the Brembos not so great but on SL were solid. Think the C63 brakes were cooked. Instructor was impressed with my apex execution and timely brake to steer to goose it... |

Yea I hear ya, but I didnt thinks it was a big boat as I would of thought. The C was hands down the most exciting model to toss about the turns, lot of grunt and torque.
I found the M/T review, BMW was faster and livelier, which makes sense. But the bimmer has 25 more HP. |

the SL was the one I liked the least. For near 150k I would want so much more in a car. I cant see how that could compete with a porsche or an Audi in the 150 price range.

The SL makes no excuses as a sportscar look but a executive everyday car, its is comfy, luxurious and has it all, but by no means is a Purist sports car. The BMW 6 is a boulevard cruiser too, with 4 seats. I am not sure how old the SL platform is, but its really a niche car, oddly almost a relic of the hey day of big money cruisers. It reminds me of a car a hollywood executive would have, divorced twice, country club type.

Be that as it may, it was the best of the bunch in my opinion. I think I just have a thing for short chicks... oops i mean wheelbases.
Also I'm just the tire warmer for said z4. Maybe some day I will have a penis of my own. |
