perhaps your psi's were not low enough for the tpms to notify??

i sent liqui moly a note a moment ago re their recommendations to use engine flush on a 38k mile n54 twin turbo....awaiting their response.

what are your thoughts??

It doesn't have TPMS... it's a 2006 so has the wheel speed sensor based system. I'm guessing that as they were all low, they all rotated at the same rate so didn't cause a discrepancy???

No idea with the LM in a n54... my hunch is that it's fine though. They're not going to make something that would damage a turbo engine. But best to hear it from them rather than some rando' on the internet!

Side note: On the Ceratec packaging it said that it could be used it in a manual transmission. I'm intrigued!

I removed the back seats and it looked nasty underneath. (Dried food, coins, dirt etc from the previous owner). Vaccumed, cleaned the area and reinstalled the seats.

Going to do the fronts later after I find sport seats

Oohh good idea! I haven't done that with mine yet. It's probably long overdue

I thought about that actually. However I've always been the one to take the path less traveled. I've only ever heard of one person put B&W speakers into their E90, and even then I never seen a full review. I like the weave of the cone, its the same color as my logic 7, and its even newer tech than individual 😁. The ones I'm looking at currently are out of M 6/7 series, which we know are all about the creature comforts. Now to do some research on how I can retrofit the amp and still use my HU equalizer.. ah, dreams

Wrapped the faded exterior chrome trim with 3M 2080 satin black, the upper part at least.

It looks ok, but I'm not happy with the part where it wraps around the back of the molding. It's difficult to cut a clean straight line on some of the pieces. I need some more vinyl to redo a few pieces. and I need to wrap the lower portion.

Going on my first road trip in the e90/n54.
150 mile round trip. I hope I have enough tools in case it breaks down.

You don't trust an n54 to make it 75 miles and back 😭😭

There's a reason I own two N52s 😂 one of which is just not having much luck. Keeps getting messed up by all hands other than myself. Bald eagle time

and you can make good power on a N52, impressive I must say for a n/a aging engine.

N54 are a project alone. I'm refreshing mine, I did everything, but the injectors and coils. Trying to source some used one.
( rod bearing, hpfp, charge pipe, multiple plastic hose, mickeymouse, ofh/pan/cover gaskets, mounts, 3x index12, water pump, thermostat, radiator, carbon, and few more)

The N54 refresh alone cost me more than my E91 that has 0 issue...

Haha. I was kidding. I actually went on a 1k mile trip to look over my cousins new e91. The only stuff in the trunk that was for me was the coolant and spare tire.

My preventative maintenance for the trip with the n54 was:
Coolant level-check
Oil level-check
Tire pressure-check
Didn’t skip a beat and got 24.5 mpg. I’m sure I would’ve got more mpg if I kept it at 60mph.

They’re custom made by KYCS in Birmingham U.K. They’re fully integrated Bi-LEDs.

Well, Friday I sprung a big nasty fuel leak. For a few days I had been smelling gas but was waiting for the weekend to take a look around. Friday I topped off my tank during lunch and stayed in the car while I ate. When I came out the gas odor was much stronger from the passenger rear wheel. Remember I just did my rear subframe so I thought maybe I tugged or pinched something and now it became much worse. Decided to start by looking at the usual suspect and sure enough I had a crack at the top of the fuel level sender/pressure regulator. I live 45 minutes from work so I really needed to fix it to leave work. Called two BMW dealers and one had one saved for a customer (I laughed that someone was going through the same as I.. typical) however I had someone in New Brunswick NJ that I had bought other BMW parts from who had the part available for $70 bucks. Continental part and it was brand new. Must've came from a low mile car. Anyway, that was my ordeal with "what I did to my car".

I will say, I upgraded my low pressure fuel pump on my 135 and that was much easier to do than the other side with running the hoses from one side to the other with a full tank of gas. I literally had nothing to move the gas into..

For me, my 330 has Logic 7. The speakers themselves are starting to show their age; I had to reglue all the cones to their surrounds a few years ago. Didn't fix the crackling on all the speakers. Going to upgrade all my speakers to OEM Bowers & Wilkins, add tweeters in the rear doors, and maybe a corner loaded 10" sub in the trunk. Should fix all my issues
I thought the stock speaker wire was actually pretty good and could be used for an upgraded sytem?

That's what I thought too, which is why I'm keeping mine. But to each his own

Replaced injector 1. We shall see how the start tomorrow goes…

The tip of the old injector almost looked rusted. Unless that’s how they’re supposed to look (N55)?

I'm no expert, but that looks bad to me.

I pulled the injectors out of my 7000+ hour diesel and no pitting or any corrosion. I know it's a different animal but that looks like detonation to me.

Maybe someone who actually knows can give us a better answer.

Thanks for sharing that. I really am curious now.

Thoroughly cleaned the outside and inside of the car and cleaned every rubber seal and applied gummi pflege to them to hopefully aid in their longevity under the horrendous Florida sun. It was extremely time consuming to do.

Bit of a decrease in wind noise after but nothing crazy, just sticky fingers and now it does the supposedly common e90 B pillar creaking noise which I’ll sort later.
