Bit of a decrease in wind noise after but nothing crazy, just sticky fingers and now it does the supposedly common e90 B pillar creaking noise which I’ll sort later.
One clean wagon there!

Did that just roll off the showroom floor?

Gave this thing a wipe down and started prepping the cage. Car is going to take priority for the week so I can prep it for sale.

Looks clean! We have similar issues in AZ. I treated mine, but want to find another product.

Also, interior FTW. Mine was that spec with the dark wood. Swapped literally everything. I love having black carpets.

Quick 50/50 on my racecar hood just for shits and giggles. Amazed me enough I might run it.

Also finished one of the wheel refurbs. Not absolutely perfect, but very nice and almost ready to sell.

What magic are you performing on your paint? Looks amazing. Do you have amy recommendations, specifically procedures? Think I can get similar results with a DA polisher and Meguiars consumer products that I have (Ultimate compound and polish?)

Beautiful! I have the same interior, what product are you using to keep the seats looking that good in the Florida heat?

Also using Gummi on the seals, I've been having great results using Krytox GPL-105 on certain parts now that I was able to source a 1oz bottle for a decent price.

Got a yellow low coolant light when I went to start it this AM. No coolant leak as far as I can tell, but there is some coolant residue on the threads where the expansion tank cap screws in.
Took maybe 1.5l of coolant. I’m hoping that’s what it is…

Guess I’ll be replacing it, then. Worst case I have the system vacuum tested for $160 at my local indy down the street.

1.5l is no joke... that is definitely a leak somewhere! Hopefully just the cap!

True… though hopefully it was a little under filled after the OFHG replacement and slowly vented out over time.🤞🏽

Put new tires on the boys 325i today.

I haven't driven it for a while and it's obvious the front suspension has worn some. Steering felt not precise in the way it always has. Was marginally better with the new tires but still noticeable.

Guess it's time to do the front end components. Might as well fix the oil pan leak too while I'm there.

Also the 06' uses wheel speed sensors to detect tire deflation instead of pressure sensors.

Well within a mile of leaving the shop I got a tire warning.

Checked when I got home the shop had put 2 lbs of air more in the right rear rear tire than the left.

Didn't realize it was that sensitive. Anyway cleared the fault and it hasn't returned.

Base interior just isn't cutting it again. Time to upgrade the daily to sport. I have two options:

•Black front seats, and I don't have to swap anything else out $225
•Full creme interior + a few misc odds and ends $600

What do you guys think? Creme would look pretty good with Montego Blue. But black is cheaper. Creme would also be easier to dye down the road

I'd go with black.

It might just be me, but any light colored interior I have ends up looking dirty all the time. And I'm cheap unless it's important.

This was just chemical guys stuff. I could go more crazy, but its not worth it for this part.

V32, 36, 38. Clayed it first.

If I'm wetsanding its a different story.

I would do the creme color however I would dye the seats to a caramel color. That would go amazing with your exterior color. Just my two cents.

The plot thickens. Looks like I have a 1.4 bar cap instead of the 2.0 bar one that’s supposed to be installed. Wonder if that’s why it’s venting a bit.

Thats the toss up I'm having. Cheaper and less dirty. But I've only ever had black interiors hmm

I was actually planning on dyeing it Cognac if I did pick creme for that exact reason 🤔

Love my Chem Guys stuff.

Reminds me I need to polish and seal my truck again.

And FYI your paint correction looks amazing too.

What is it that you do for wetsanding?

I’m now using the chemical guys leather cleaner which is quite weak and their conditioner which I think is great. However before I used jay lenos garage leather cleaner and I liked it a bit better.

I used gummi on the seals because it’s the most common product I’ve heard people use. The krytox seems to be advertised as some sort of lubricant almost? What’s it like?

I like how that looks, I’m not a big fan of the grey interior mainly due to the dash and carpets, but the different color cup holder trim and carpets change it completely. I might consider that in the future. Definitely don’t want to swap a dash
