Nice Anvar! Those MR2's are one of my favorite cars!

It wasn't an XRS, it was an XR AWD. I really wanted the 6-speed and 1.8L Celica GTS motor but living in MN, the AWD was a better decision for me. I love that car! Toyota reliability, great gas mileage, and lots of space. I got a lot of crap since it was a grocery getter .

2 cars I've always wanted to own. My cousin had a MR2 turbo, quick little car. Before the BMW, I was looking at G35 and 37s. Love the styling, but as Nick said, the interior was so-so.

Was everyone speechless today on account of the weather?

My M spent the entire day outside in a Target parking lot (Damn store visits ) The car wouldn't stay on until I held the revs to about 2k on the third time around!

You left the beloved M outside all day!!!!
I think it is time to call social services. Your going to have turn her in by noon tomorrow so we can find it a good loving home......

on another note...I am now in possession of 2 sets of gloss black grills, one of which will go on the M and one of which I am going to sell, along with a set of matte black ones. Let me know if you want a set as I am going to put them up for sale this weekend. I can bring them with me work downtown if that helps ....

and Brian just to let you know. I am bringing the M in tomorrow for some oil and since I was going I told them to put the Dinan exhaust on as I have a 15% of service card. But I would still like to drink beer and eat pizza..

stay warm...........

I'm slowly getting over the weather! I'm not over the condition of the roads however. South Minneapolis is still a complete mess. Also, I came down 35W for the first time since the storm today, and at the end of the commons area where the highway swings hard left, there is a huge wall of snow, like 15' high blocking all but the car pool lane on the far left! I couldn't believe it, there is no warning or anything!

You need to get the M checked out man, that is not normal! My car sits outside in an open parking lot at work every day and it starts first time every time regardless of temperature.

Frankly I am not too worried about it. The S65 is pretty finicky and always runs a bit rough in the morning and I am sure the cold doesn't help. It was -8 yesterday evening when i left. It runs perfectly after a few seconds so dont think it is too much cause for concern.

I didn't know that it wouldn't stay started... that is a little odd. Nonetheless, its probably not something to worry about. My 330 was rarely parked in a garage in MT and there would be nights of -20 on a regular basis. I would start it and it would barely run. Let it warm up, turn it off and turn it on again and it was perfect.

I think its just one of those weird quirks with these cars.

perhaps it was due to low fuel level. Are the m pumps designed in a way where they are unaffected by low fuel levels?

Yeah I always try to keep fuel above 1/4 tank...especially with traditional in-tank fuel pumps. --In the winter, the risk of condensation and freezing lines is significant. -In the summer, the fuel actually helps keep the fuel pump cooled when it is submerged in fuel...so when you have very low fuel there's no fuel to help cool the pump, which can lead to premature failure. That's just a phobia of mine..as I've had fuel pumps go out on previous trucks I've had...but surely BMW has better fuel pumps to begin with. Some people ALWAYS have less than 1/4 tank and never have problems...some always have above 1/2 tank and have many problems.

I'm hoping for help with an A/V receiver as I am working on putting together a home entertainment system. Also, a jacket. I need a new jacket that is a little more dressy for work, etc.

I am not sure what my New Years plans are as of yet. Probably should figure that out. The last two years I have just gone out downtown and in uptown, but have gotten a little sick of spending the vast majority of the evening waiting in lines for getting in, lines for drinks, lines for the bathroom, lines, lines and more lines.

So I'm thinking something different for this year.

Yeah I saw a dank PS3 and ~50" flat screen TV deal at Best Buy for around $1200. Seems like a super good deal. I'd probably get it if I ever played video games.

My biggest wish for a Christmas gift is a great job to begin my career.

Well let me know if any of you guys want to put something together for New Year's. Don't want to end up doing the same thing as last year (rather low key boring party) and don't want to stand in line at some bar either.

Porsche 911 turbo on my list btw.

I'd be down to do something with you guys for New Years. I too am not a fan of the extremely crowded bars downtown...lines, grinding with other dudes to get from point A to B, standing outside waiting to get in, etc.

Enjoy the exhaust Reed, I find that I am actually shifting much earlier to hear the low end burble! I think the engine noise tends to drown out the exhaust noise at higher rpms. The parking structure sounds are just ungodly!

thanks Anvar....it is fun to hear the great new sound the M can make...wish it was summer!! Not sure if you switched out the air filter but I have the MS and it really changes the sound on the intake which is very noticible...

carried the OEM exhaust to the basement....really heavy!!
