That falls under flirting.

Basically you are trying to impress them without being too pretentious. They obviously like you, that is why they are having a conversation (interview) with you. It's up to you to have them choose you over someone else. I use the same line all the time and it works for me with my job interviews. When they ask the proverbial "Why should we choose you to work at ______?" I tell them something like this, I know for this position there are plenty of qualified people, there might be dozens of people that you have lined up that meet the technical requirements. I am a team player, I enjoy working with a team, and feel that I can bring my enthusiasm to create a better working environment. When you hire someone, you want someone who you will say hello to in the morning, you don't want to hire someone who you don't feel good about personally. I believe I am that person who can fit with any team and your team. Something like that.
