I replaced my spark plugs and coil packs with NGK One step colder and Delphi respectively.

Bonus was pulling all my injectors to clean them and finding out this 08 I bought came with all matching index 11 injectors installed.

Picked up an OE BMW radiator for less than $300. The Mahle lasted 1.5 years.

Have a dime-sized coolant puddle on the garage floor, so will be tackling it this weekend. My first radiator replacement, so this should be interesting. Thank god for ISTA and this forum…

I can see their being useful, but I probably won't remember them when it matters!!! That's funny about Audis/Teslas... wonder why they didn't go to the effort to disable the feature like BMW did. Seems like having a separate switch just for NA is a waste.
I couldn't help myself, and had to obsessively search out a Eurozone switch and buy it. Found a used from UK on ebay, about $35 to my door. Total vanity item, but I dig it:

On a side note, I cracked the trim piece housing where the pin slips into. Will report back on my repair process...

Going back to my motherland (Portugal) in a month. I will be searching for one of these for my car as well. Do you have to change anything coding wise or does the rear fog work automatically by adding the switch?

No coding is needed. Just plug and play

What lordnikon said. Really easy upgrade, and I'm kinda' glad to have done it. The 3D printed insert pieces worked fine, but this just looks spot on!

In NA, or at least US, the rear fog lights are rendered inoperative by having a blank panel cover the button/switch. But all the rest of the wiring and coding is in place. So all you need to do is get the switch operational. You can pull an extra plastic part from a wrecker, or 3D print one and it'll work fine, but you won't have the illuminated symbol on it. I just had to have that, so for $33 I found one of these and bought from a seller in the UK: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...32796&_sacat=0

Useful? Sure, why not! Looks good? Yes, to about 12 people that know what it is! Positive ROI? Probably not.

I'm jealous of both the aluminum trim and the switch although the switch will be more attainable at the moment lol Currently trying to sort through the e82 interior to complete the black interior swap.

I LOVE the aluminum trim. My buddy whom I bought the car from calls it Manly Metal!

I've seen a photo of the aluminum trim with a red start/stop button and I don't know why I just love the combo. Plus it helps bring the interior a little more up to date.

Agree that the aluminum trim really makes the car look more modern than any of the wood options.

I currently had one single trim piece for the drivers side vent. Only a few more pieces to source to complete the conversion for my two E90s! I have thought about vinyl wrap many times, either matte carbon or a brushed metal color. Then whenever I try wrapping anything I realize how much effort it requires to get it looking perfect and I defer the plans. I recently wrapped my steering wheel trim and my E93 roof rail trim with satin black and it's very good but not perfect.

I tried doing the same with my e82 interior as it has the dry carbon wrap and I'm honestly over it. Although the piece I wrapped didn't come out great either and I think the satin black may not be the right call.

I have thought about sourcing the pieces slowly to make a complete set but I'm lazy lol

Satin black is perfect for blacking out any exterior trim, but looks really cheap and cheesy on any interior parts, like my steering wheel trim. I'm going to grab a can of Colorbond interior spray paint to redo that along with a few other interior parts on both of my cars.

I put a LCI knob on my 330 and it doesn't look good. But my 330 is an 06 model. The chrome trim on the headlight knob is the only chrome on my dash right now and it doesn't flow well. Everything else is black plastic or brown wood. My 335 (07) has chrome trim on the steering wheel and chrome HVAC knobs and that LCI headlight knob will look great there.

Is it chrome or the silver/aluminum?
If chrome, I can see it maybe sticking out. Maybe try the silver knob?
My e93 has the chrome bits with wood trim and it looks good. E90 has the silver bits with aluminum and it goes well.

Simple and easy!
I can’t remember if my switch was the one where you push the knob in either, but it’s on there. I always leave it pushed in.
Out Vs In, featuring my attempt at recreating the rear fog light symbol.
