It was a lot of work to do the conversion, reason why my pre lci will take some time to finish.

Replaced a faulty fuel injector today on my niece's 2006 325i N52. Symptoms were an intermittent rough running followed by a SES light and a corresponding 2E32 [P0203] code: "Einspritzventil Zylinder 2, Ansteuerung"

I swapped it with a used injector with half the mileage (130K vs the 260K+ miles on the car now) and all is good.

Upon starting the car and checking for fuel leaks, I noticed some puffs of smoke coming off the catalytic converters. VCG is leaking from the back corner. I know they're aluminum torque-to-yield bolts but I went ahead and tried to tighten them more and sure enough the rear corner bolt and both adjacent bolts on the back of the engine and the side of the engine were all very loose. I replaced this VCG myself in 2018 and followed the proper torque sequence. I'm guessing the use of a universal joint (swivel?) to access those rear bolts was giving incorrect torque values on the wrench. All the other VCG bolts were perfectly fine.

i presume the right side has a fastener for the fender-to-bumper as well that is accessible by removing the right wheel well liner (closest to the front of the car)....correct? if yes, this location has the oil cooler heat exchanger located in the lower area....perhaps just removing the wheel well liner fasteners would allow enough flex for the liner to be pulled back just a bit to access the referenced fender-to-bumper fastener??
Yes, you can remove the screws on the liner and bend it around to access the bumper mounting screws. With the oil cooler vents, it will be annoying though, and even more annoying if trying to do it with the car in the ground.
It is easier to lift the car up and remove the front wheels.

This is the correct bracket you need, it slides onto the fender somehow, I’ll get a pic later.

The bracket listed in the other post is only a support for the edge of the bumper. It doesn’t fasten anything.

If you are picky like me and want oem screws in the correct locations, then this is the mounting screw.

When you said you had to cut the rear bumper, did they not have an M option from factory? I'm very new to wagons and would love to own one in the future so I'm picking your brain lol

This week all vBulletin forums I,m on at get ''attacked''.

V4 EOL was in 2017, bimmerpost run on v3.x. So...

It is unfortunate, but it's hard to keep it safe.
Bimmerpost got bots for now, but the other got url redirected or massive p0rn popups.

Repaired the m sport bumper side mounting points with a lot of very detailed plastic melting and some points I cut off a good crashed bumper in the junkyard and filled in the huge holes the PO drilled to fit a euro plate... Also repaired some ripped parts in the m sport skirts, which I’m still considering given how little of a difference they are from the regular side skirts.

Will be in for paint hopefully next week.

Turned the heater on today (first time I’ve really needed it since I bought the car). It’s only hot on the driver side - lukewarm on the right middle vent, and cold on the passenger side one. I’m pretty sure whatever idiot owned the car previously used stop leak in the system at some point, as I found grayish residue in the expansion tank when I did the radiator. Outstanding.

Booking the car for a heater core flush. It’s like $320. Just hope I don’t lose heat on the driver side once it’s done…

IF the heater core required replacement, is it the equivalent to gator-wrastlin' to remove/replace??
