1. I'm concerned about my timing corrections, am i going to hurt something? and how terrible are these corrections? I just preformed a walnut blast, changed the spark plugs and coil packs. As for fuel I was using some lower quality 91oct with both Lucas octane boost and royal purple injector cleaner.

2. I am far from my target boost in higher rpm. I just ordered the GFB DV+ Performance Diverter Valve to help, could it be anything else?

I'm sorry if any of this is obvious I just don't understand the reasoning behind my correction and not hitting target boost. I'm eager to learn and thankful for anyone's help!

Do you have access to 93 Oct fuel or E85? Might be shitty fuel.
You can increase the octane and do a pull and see if the corrections go away.

Popping a 30ff code consistently, posting up a 3rd gear datalog of when it occurs. Spool seems slow to react. Did some vacuum testing on the boost solenoids and one of them bleeds off the vacuum with the mightyvac while the other one won't hold any vacuum, stays at 0.

So what fuel is this? I see its a wedge map. I would suggest a little less boost (i wont suggest how the tuner do it - he will know better than I), a little more fuel (adding more on scalers) and maybe see what happens from there. But look for some better fuel. This doesnt look to hot - where are you located? You got some Ethanol avail to dump in?

A lot of timing corrections on the v8 map. New plugs gapped to .022, new coils and new index 12 injectors. Only use shell gas e85 and 93 oct. Car has 82k miles, are the turbos on there way out? Would blown turbo seals cause a boost leak? Oil is leaking on the hotside of the intercooler. Burns one quart of oil every 4k miles.

Mods:
VRSF downpipes, 7.5 intercooler, chargepipe w/ tial BOV
xHP stage 3 v2.0
fuel-it stage 2

That log was 92 +/- e10 from Chevron. No e85 here. Asked the tuner to keep it below 19lbs and this is the new revision. I agree octane is my enemy. Here's the new log.

Sidenote: I've got some s55 plugs @ .023 think tossing them in might help? Current on 5992s around .20, thanks!

Hi can someone help me make sense of my log? I see the obvious issues with corrections and not hitting the target boost, but can anyone provide some possible reasons as to why this is happening? I don't want to start throwing parts at the car and hope it helps.

Can someone who knows what they're looking at take a look?

https://datazap.me/u/jgradi1/log-153...=0&data=3-5-21

Based on what I understand it looks fine to me...no timing corrections...the boost hits target...etc...

What I don't know is what is the "timing cyl. 1*crk" does that one look okay? What about the fuel rail pressure and the lambdas?

Thanks in advance...

Looks pretty good. Shifts are a little slow but I will assume this is a manual.

Finally got a big boost leak fixed and trying to get everything shaped up before moving on to new mods. Sitting on a DCI and considering moving into ethanol next.

Appears to be 2-3* timing corrections on 2,4,and 5 so I've got a fresh set of coils and plugs in route.

Is my LPFP pressure low? Low 70s dropping to low 50s during the pull.

Any other concerns/recommendations?

Thanks for the feedback. It’s an auto...the shifts don’t feel slow but my other car is a Jeep Patriot so I don’t really have a great benchmark to compare.

well, it looks better as far as timing goes but still going over boost target and thats causing quite a bit of throttle closure around 4200-4700. Im sure its being done to keep boost up but I would think a little less WG would let you stay further away from it and just keep throttle wide open.

LPFP looks weak.. these are values you'd see on a 60% ethanol mix..

Good afternoon guys...hope everyone is having a good Monday. I’m new the BMW world, but not new to cars or modifying them in general.
I daily a 2012 335is. DCT E92 (coupe) and is loving every minute of it. I would like to share a few of my logs and get some feedback on them. I’m totally stock as of now but I have a VRSF 7” HD intercooler, the VRSF downpipes and charge pipe, awaiting install within the next month or so. I’m considering inlets and outlets...which would require a custom tune if/when installed, but the gains would probably be more than my horse power goals for the car. Anyone have any feedback on the inlets and outlets they care to share?

I know i have a boost leak but my wgdc seems to be okay? Nothing visibly loose checked all the connections to charge pipe, IC, hoses etc...

Since my wgdc seems okay is there any indication where i should be looking for this leak? At the charge pipe cold side? Or hot side hoses and stuff near the boost solenoids?

How much hp difference realistically does that 1-1.5 psi avg delta make anyways? If not much, won't bother getting a leak test done as i'm not very optimistic it will yield any results with this small of a leak?

Might just chalk it up to my car being oldish now... 160k km had this for 2+ years

Hi all,

I'm new to BMW scene. I have a tuning experience for WRX's etc.

Anyway i have an stock 08 335i stage 1 MHD just wondering how do the logs look? Both are 3 Gear runs
My only concern is boost seems a little low? ambient temp was probably about 15c
Does the AFR seem lean? i'm use to seeing subarus targeting 11afr at full boost or is this normal?

Good log. Few corrections either, that gas is working out good at 100F+ charge. Fmic could be better. Wg dc looks good but ther is a small boost leak. Could be cp oring, div valve oring, tmap oring etc. if you have already checked the big ones. Worth checking the intake man nipple / hose.
Curious, stock intake or dci?

Thanks, forgot to list out my mods.

I do have a DCI and downpipes but the intakes are really dirty like 5+ years unwashed dirty... Was there something in the log that you noticed with regards to this? Since you mentioned the intakes?

I went again underneath to take a look, saw some oil around the rear turbo intake inlet right up at the front where it connects to my dci.. and some oil near my charge pipe return pipe.

May have found a tiny crack in one of those wedges, jb weld the silicon coupler?

Picture below isnt my car but highlighted the area where i see some oil, not quite sure how i wanna approach repairing this as the rubber part is coiled o.o.... Def not replacing it as its a pain.
