Can anyone recommend a decent touchless car wash, preferably in South Mpls or the southern suburbs? The one I had been going to in Edina changed their basic program to include that nasty "spot free" rinse agent that of course leaves many spots! Previous to this, their basic wash consisted of an undercarriage wash, soap, water only rinse and a dry. This is what I am looking for - any recommendations?

I personally do the $30 a month membership at Mister Car Wash up by my house. Unlimited car washes with hand dry and only $5 to upgrade to vacuum and dust and glass. Couldn't be happier. This is only for the winter as I normally hand wash during the warmer months though. |

How do you like the Denon receiver? I'm between that and a Pioneer Elite unit.

Hi All,
Someone PM'ed me on the M3post site, hence joining in on the conversation. I ran into a fellow E90 M3 owner about a month ago as well at Motorwerks (maybe it was MNm3). NE ways, thought I would drop in. I just bought my 09 E90 M3 a couple of months ago and have been loving it. Here are some questions/concerns I have currently: 1) I stored my vehicle for the winter. Would love to hear if you did the same and what steps you took. I pumped up the tires, filled the tank, added stabil, and put a trickle charger on it. 2) Which dealership (Minnetonka vs Motorwerks) do you prefer? Motorwerks is OK and I always got good service at Sears, but now don't know how good Minnetonka is. Would love to get a recommendation, a M3 specific service tech's name would be even better. 3) I have the BBS Gunmetal 18 inch wheels on my car. I am trying to sell those to replace with either the 220 (standard 19) or the 359 (ZCP) wheel. I can't seem to make up my mind as both are good options in their own way. Thoughts/ideas/opinions would be appreciated. My days of tracking are over (trying to be a responsible Dad ![]() |

1. Take it out of storage!! It is a blast to drive in the winter...!! 2. Good question. I bought mine at Sears (Minnetonka) and always go there but just had a Dinan exhaust installed at Motorworks and they were great! Actually put my stock exhaust back in the car with the tips covered etc. 3. Sounds like you want to keep the wheels stock but there are alot of great aftermarket wheels to choose from. In any event I would opt for the 220's because I don't like mixing the ZCP wheels with a non-ZCP car if that makes sense. And I really like the 220's... talk to ya soon.... Pics??

I agree that touchless is not the best for the paint, but it's the best option I can see for the winter as I have a fear of the full service washes using sponges full of sand on my paint ![]() |

Welcome! 1) +1 on using the car during the winter. I used to store my bimmers - this is the first winter I've driven one and it's fun. Get some winter wheels asap ![]() 2) I use Motorwerks and have only had great service from them 3) There always seem to be a few sets of OEM wheels for sale on this forum. I personally would go for the 220Ms, they are an awesome looking wheel. I do like the ZCP wheels alot, but with so many replica "CSL style" wheels out there, the look is becoming almost common. |

I've never had a bad experience with Minnetonka or Motorwerks. I've used both. I'd say go with whichever is more conveniently located. For winter storage I would definitely get a car cover for it. (I do love driving it in the winter, but it is a shame the abuse the car takes during the winter with the salt, sand, etc. If I could afford a second winter car, I would get one in a heart beat)

I've gone to Minnetonka a few times already for service and have nothing but great things to say about them. I really haven't heard of any issues with either place so I would personally go to whichever one is closer to you.

Hi and welcome! What color is you M? I've probably seen it/you at C & C...I attended nearly every one this year. 1) I think most of us drive the cars through the winter, but there are different strategies for winterizing you car depending on the climate it'll be in. Whatever you do is probably OK and won't make a huge difference. 2) Minnetonka BMW is closer to me for parts, but I absolutely loathe their sales/management staff. I have found they are very arrogant, shallow, fake and even though they make eye contact, they refuse to say a word to me. Simply put, I wouldn't give them my business for buying a car from them. Motorwerks is better, but still not as good as they should be. There is one salesman there, Craig, who is great. He's the only sales rep. I would buy a car from in the future. Other than that, I have no experience with service at either of them. 3) The 220 wheels are one of my all-around favorite wheels on BMW's, and that would be my first choice of an OEM wheel. I still kinda want a set, but I just can't justify it. If they're only for summer and not needed for track use, go with whichever looks you prefer most. My vote is for the 220s ![]() Welcome again, and like Reed said put up some pics! Not sure when we're going to meet up again, but it'll probably be within the next couple months! Brian |

Was grabbing some food at Culvers and saw a Bentley Arnage. Well, I think it was an Arnage. Awesome car nonetheless.

I'm new so I hope I am in the right place. Anyways, Does anyone know of a good carwash between Roseville MN and and White Bear Lake MN? Mister Car wash in Roseville has that dryer that rolls up the hood of your car. I won't take it there. I was thinking about going touchless for the winter until I can hand wash but I am afraid I will get wet like I did in my E46 M3. Any suggestions?
