I ordered a bottle of Optimum Clear Coat Restore, it may be my last option to fix my failing clear coat. If this doesn’t work I will be either wrapping or repainting the hood, roof and trunk lid. I watched a convincing YouTube video today and will be giving it a try.

Followup: I would not recommend the product, I followed the instructions and it left a mess that I couldn't take off with an extreme compound. I will be wrapping or repainting in the near future.

Busy day - Sport seat retrofit for the Gray Ghost, my E91, and new Winter/All-Season wheels/tires for Little Red, my 128i.

The Gray Ghost is now a proper touring with seats to go touring in. The really big news is that everything works - power, heat, lumbar, bolsters, memory - and I didn't have to do any coding or repin any wires!

Little Red got Apex ARC-8s, 8.5x17 in Hyper Silver with Azenis FK460 A/S in 235-45-17 . My Summer set is the same Apex wheels in Hyper Black with Michelin PS4s.

Had these headlights from BayOptiks installed by them in their shop in Dublin, CA in my 2008 335i E90 today.

I think they look really "cool."

They added this and other pics of the install in my car to their product webpage, here: E90 3 SERIES LASER STYLE LED HEADLIGHTS (2005 - 2012).

The webpage says that the lights are Plug & Play w/no coding required but that is incorrect. The adaptive headlight function had to be deactivated and the headlight voltage sensitivty had to be changed.

The headlights cost me $1100 (including sales tax) plus $500 for the install & $125 for the coding. It's one of the more expensive mods that I've done to my car but the OEM headlight lenses were beyond repair. However, I kept them in case they're needed in the future.

What I really like about these new lights, apart from their updated look, is that they get rid of the amber corners and use a horizontal yellow directional lightbar at the top of the headlights instead, which isn't visible until the turn signals are turned on.

Can't figure out how to embed the video but you can see it in action by clicking on this link: BMW Laser Style Headlight Video

I added a rear spoiler from ebay, VERY happy with it.
Painted and shipped from Taiwan after they emailed to confirm the paint code. Legit and highly recommended: https://www.ebay.com/str/oemthing

Snapped some pics, then took the long way home:

Thanks! Unfortunately this is the same engine that I found sand in the oil filter and (what appears to be) metallic flakes in the oil/filter. Hopefully the engine gods will bless me with that being the first and final occurrence. We shall see when I start her up in a week or so. I forgot to order injector o rings

Going to send an oil sample + oil filter to blackstone as well and see what they think.

Yep, love the Coco mats. I have the original in the E91 but ordered a different brand for the E82 and wish I'd stuck to the originals - they hold up better.

well done k9,
such an iconic history of coco mats....reading their history on their website brings back memories of the first time i saw them - they were primarily an dealership order in porsches.

i purchased my first set in 2010 for my 2007 z4m roadster....imola red exterior with black leather interior and i chose the "dots" type of look in red/black.

fast forwarding to my purchase of the 2013 335is e93 convertible a yr ago in crimson red exterior with saddle brown leather interior i chose the "dots" in saddle/black.

the mats wear like iron and have a bespoke look different from all other mats:

Here's some more inspiration

Bonus points if you find blacklines for the e91. I've seen many of both lci and pre lci e91s but not once have I seen one with blacklines

well done colorado,
i relied upon blackstone oil analysis to monitor connecting rob bearing(s) health during my 12.5 yr ownership of my 2007 Z4M roadster's S54 engine....annual blackstone analysis allowed clear trending of internals.

they (blackstone) will be clearly able to ID your oil and provide important info; it sounds like you have utilized blackstone's expertise before....such incredible data for $30....

E93Seattle (Racerbruce) blackstone is excellent! I do an annual oil test for all of my vehicles. Their text reviews of the data they see as well as average comparisons are extremely helpful.

I was very pleased to see the test results of the 328 when I first bought it earlier this year. The crankcase and occasional lifter chatter tells me its seen long intervals in the past; I'm glad this is what showed up even after using a flush

the incredible number of metals, solids, coolant, etc, etc that is forensically ID'd is priceless.

my z4mr's s54 engine had a propensity to devour connecting rod bearings....thus my anal-retentive annual assessment of bearing material(s) ppm numbers and as you noted, their massive database of trends vs miles vs oil change intervals, etc and the clarity of your engine health compared to others in your engine type.
