This is a salad my wife and I call "Korčula salad". We had it at a nice al fresco restaurant on the medieval wall of the old town of Korčula, Croatia. The menu listed it as "couscous salad" but couscous is a minor ingredient.

Very fresh and very good.

Couscous
Fresh parsley
Red onion
Crushed almonds
Chickpeas
Kalamata olives
Tomatoes (we had cherry tomatoes on hand)
Feta (Croatian Sir cheese is correct, but none in the grocery here)
Fresh melon
EVOO
Fresh squeezed lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Powdered coriander, cumin or sumac are optional additions, although not genuine.

Pizza with bacon, caramelized onions and fresh mozz

Crust used 20% semolina rimacinata and the balance was unbleached white all purpose flour. Salad dressed with EVOO and balsamic reduction.

Super good.

Newb here for this thread. Just decided at the last minute to whip up a pseudo Philly Cheese steak sandwich or something resembling that. Just cut up some sirloin tip steak and sauteed some onions and bell peppers. Threw some seasoning on all of it and then toasted some hoagie rolls with Provolone cheese. It's damn tasty if I do say so myself. Lol.

Now if only I would've gotten my cat into the photo to score a couple extra points!

The whole area looks so new like only 15-20 years old. Theres like a park next to the wash and runs across the whole hood. When i graduate I try hard to make enough to be there.

That's basically because it is new, lol. OC > LA IMHO. Too damn $$ for what you get for your money though. I'm not gonna throw down $700-800k for a place that has about 1,000 SF of space.
