Dallas - Go to COBB

Ft. Worth side - Go to Texas Track Works or known as (PTP)

Classic aligned my fiances... It seemed straight but we had to take it back to get the steering wheel re-set. Drives straight as an arrow.

COBB does the best alignments in town IMO. Vorschlag Racing uses them to align all their track cars...

Aside from the looks, because it looks badass and that makes it all worthwhile by itself... was it worth the hassle? did you feel noticeable gains on the butt dyno?

well to be honest with you didnt change the map to the stage 2 + fmic yet but im doing that as we speak. So I will let you know but from what i have heard, stage 2 + fmic makes a hell of a difference.

Plus with texas heat, worth it in my eyes and the aesthetics like you said make it look amazing anyway.

Congrats! Makes me wish I was still in Texas so I could possibly see it first-hand. Waiting for butt-dyno report on your thread.

Looks good! Picking up a Helix tonight that will go in as soon as the car is back from the body shop. Can't wait!

I'm staying tuned for your butt dyno report, too. From what I understand the Cobb +FMIC maps provide a noticeable bump in power. I think I might have Cobb do a before and after dyno on mine while it's there for the install. Unfortunately that won't be until late August or early September though. The body shop is taking foreverrrrr

anyone want to buy a cheap(ish) convertible for the summer? 30 mpg, looks kinda like a boxster (fauxster)!

Just pass it on if you know anyone that might be interested. Gotta make room in the garage for the M!

Cobb's alignments are $100 unless you want a "track alignment" to your specs which is a bit more.

+1 for Cobb, they did a great job on my G and can cater to any and all setups (OEM and aftermarket, 4x4 all the way down to slammed). As Wookie pointed out, they do alignments for a lot of the performance guys in the area. I know they also do all the alignment work for Nate Hamilton and his team for his drift car.

I paid right around $100 and I had a custom setup on my G35 - they handled it like a boss and it took them far less time compared to a typical shop.

I went to check on my car and saw yours behind mine. Both are black e90s with hail damage. My car is nearly done. But yours looks pretty sweet with CF hood and trunk. I did LCI conversion for the rear. Good luck! By the way, I also have Helix FMIC and it's pretty nice. Great with JB4

Hey honestly the bump in power is magnificent from before. I didnt feel this much of a difference when I went stage 2 with just DP's but with the FMIC+ and i updated to beta 4.02 maps last night. Love it, the thing feels solid.

sounds pretty damm good too as well.

on a sidenote, give me a shout, i know someone that does my installs, might be a tad bit cheaper than COBB

Thanks I am tempted to go check on it myself periodically but I think I'll hold off for a while, lol

No clue when it will be done. They said 4-6 weeks, which would put it at mid-late August, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm headed straight over to Cobb after I get it back for the Helix install, an alignment and possibly some dyno pulls. I miss my car

Hey cmyk...

What CF hood did you go with? I am considering one. Am I correct in assuming there no painting needed?

I went with the vented M3 style, similar to the one on **********s (but not that exact one). I may have some pictures of it installed. I'll check when I'm back at my computer. I also did the CSL cf trunk. I'm pretty happy with them. Fitment is good, especially considering it was basically just a test fit to hold me over until it went to the shop. Not much adjusting needed, I was surprised.

And yeah, no paint required but I will be painting mine, as both hood and trunk is a little too much carbon fiber for my taste. And I wanted the look/weight reduction more than the cf.
