Yeah lol, off the top of my head I think that the main reason was due to it being 1.2k watt starter instead of the 1.1k watt Bosch starter, along with it being cheaper than Bosch as well. I went with a Bosch when my starter died 2 years ago because I had no idea the TYC one was an option and I just went with what was OEM on FCP. I don't have experience with TYC products myself but my friend has a TYC radiator fan and it's been working fine.

I've been looking into the Colorbond but the black isn't available and I'm open to alternatives. I need to respray quite a few trim pieces.
I used Colorbond, I did the center console a few months ago. I also have some leather dye from seat doctors to touch up the arm rest and seats a bit for the final phase.

After all the work to get my car in order, I pulled into a storefront and cracked the bumper and passenger side fender. I will get it home and get a closer look, one step forward and two steps backward.

I returned home and got a closer look at the damage, ordered the bumper and fenders (M3 style) because they were less than one OEM fender. The claim has been filed and I'm kicking myself for being so careless.

Ah yes, Lucas, the Prince of Darkness. My dad still swears when their name is mentioned (he owned a Hillman Imp growing up).

FYI the Valeo starter I put in was also a 1.2 kw one. I believe BMW has gone back to Bosch for starters on the Bxx motors - and apparently Denso starters are notorious for failing, go figure.

My dad is a huge fan of MGs, of which Lucas has its talons in every single one

The reason so many older Jags just aren’t around anymore
BTW, Lucas is now owned by ZF/TRW…

On my car, stuck on two additional weather strip engine pieces on either side. According to realoem they’re meant to be on all E90s, but I’ve only seen them on a handful of cars, especially after the LCI decontenting. These are the lower rubber strips below the caps for the brake fluid/fuse box.

Whoa that engine bay is clean!!! Chef's kiss!

My first car was my dad's handmedown MG-B. Actually a great car for a kid as you couldn't carry a bunch of similarly stupid teenagers in it. Although I fit two friends in the parcel shelf, so there's that. We survived!

Because they usually stick to the underside of the hood when opened and then fall off unnoticed and/or someone doesn't know where they go back to when they do find them laying on the ground.

Loaded up my "new" wheels and snow tires in the truck to take them over to a shop to be mounted and balanced.

Did the weekly(ish) catch can empty. 3/4 full of oil infused water. I'm not a fan of all these short winter drives to and from work.. It's 6 minutes away from my house. Works great for time reasons but I feel bad for the car. I'm just glad all the condensation it creates is being contained and not hanging out in my crankcase so much.

I wonder how condensation is dealt with on integrated pcv n52s. When I do my vcg on blue, I plan on swapping it to a mag cover and running a catch can on it as well

I think you can rig a OCC an a N52 without too much drama. Just have to use the hose nubs from the one coming out of the back of the VCG.

FWIW, our X5 35i has just drips of fluid in it after several thousand miles. But most of our driving it is on trips (Phoenix, Santa Cruz) and hardly any local driving. Flat tire on my wife's car means she's driving to work this week, so will check this weekend and see if anything has built up.

It's easy work remember, the OCC I just emptied is on an N52

Yes I have two N52 powered E90s.. Prepping to LS swap the 330 in the far future, and will convert the 328 to a 330 with the old parts

But yes typically there's not much buildup in the summer months here, especially with highway trips

I have the exact same wear on my 335. Looking forward to seeing those results too!

There are some minor cracks in the seat that I'd like to fix if possible, though I can't see how I'd be able to match the texture.

Still looking, spring should bring more sets.
I’m back and forth because I don’t know if I trust a repaired wheel but there’s a set for 600 in meh condition with tires around me and another without tires in Naples for 250. So I don’t think they’re worth a ton of money either. Maybe I’m just in a 193M hotspot.

But I do think a set of apex would suit the car well and guaranteed not to vibrate.

Removed the sunroof shades because the front one began to droop. Not horrible to do with a guide from Serf27 and took them to one of the better headliner places in town. Guy explained that the shades use 1/8in thick material while the headliner uses 3/16 which explains why my redone shade in the e92 drags, other clown probably used the 3/16.
Also realized I might need to do the sunroof service kit somewhat soon

it is very subjective, but when I see a e90 with those 193, I have a moment, like damn it looks good. And they dont look ''too small'' on the e90. Some 18'' look a bit small, but not the 193.

I have more choice on market for 19'', but no way im running 255-30-19 in my city.

I'll go 18'' a 1 size up from OEM, so instead of 255-35, Ill go 265-35.

Thank you! 303 Aerospace protectant goes a long way in keeping dust off…

That reminds me of my first car, an abused 330Ci. Learned what DSC off really meant with a bunch of friends… oh to be a teenager…

Parked next to a gorgeous green, one owner 540i. Timing chain guides done, the whole nine yards. For sale if anyone wants a lead (being sold by the grandson, grandmother recently passed).

Replaced the start/stop button. colorado.e9x send me your shipping info!

i'm new to the LS swap process; have you chosen the GM engine size, etc? will it be stock? do you have to purchase specialty items like motor mounts, transmission mounts, etc?

Follow the e9x LS tech group on facebook. Its really informative with people there as supportive as our fellow regulars here on the forums

At the moment I think an LS3 w/ TR6060 would be nice. Would like to be in the mid 700s, so probably a cam, supercharger, and any other supporting mods. Celeritech exhaust would be pretty sweet too. I can picture the entire build in my head, but by the time I finished explaining it, it would be pages long lol.

Everything for an LS swap is now plug and play like adult legos. Any mounts, conversion kits, or wiring is now readily available to purchase. A few guys on there are doing DCTs and 8HPs. Pretty cool to see an LS shift quickly
