At the moment I think an LS3 w/ TR6060 would be nice. Would like to be in the mid 700s, so probably a cam, supercharger, and any other supporting mods. Celeritech exhaust would be pretty sweet too. I can picture the entire build in my head, but by the time I finished explaining it, it would be pages long lol.

Everything for an LS swap is now plug and play like adult legos. Any mounts, conversion kits, or wiring is now readily available to purchase. A few guys on there are doing DCTs and 8HPs. Pretty cool to see an LS shift quickly

LS is v8, v8 sounds great, an exhaust is required and a manual transmission to avoid the hesitating bad sound at each shift is mandatory

What the weight distribution and overall weight in comparison with let say a n54 looks like?

Excellent feedback

The LS3 is an aluminum block, making it a few pounds lighter than the N54

more parts for the wagon.

Had a pretty good price for it. unexpected; the guy gave me 3 jugs + the 2gal tank is full.

with a 10 gph nozzle, this is the size I was looking for the 550 bhp

I bought some simple items during FCP Sale, case of oil filters and two Power Steering cap seals as my two cars seem to be weeping fluids both cars need a fluid changes for them but that's spring time.

Had a TPMS light pop up on the E91 a few days ago, and then it went away.
Okaaaay, that's different. Love it when the car fixes itself!!!
Checked for codes today and came up with these two: 604E & 6057.
Does that sound like a failing right rear TPMS in the wheel?

Maybe... but I'd check the receiver and it's connector before I'd pay someone to tear a wheel apart and replace a TPMS.

Yes, there are a few variables in play! I have to flush the brake fluid this weekend (hopefully) so I'll poke around a little!

Half assed washed the 330. I know there's more snow and frost coming, plus there slush everywhere in the neighborhoods. No sense in giving it a thorough clean..

Did some lighting wiring on the motorcycle. Other than a few connectors, the wiring is (nearly) fully prepped for all lighting mods. Also wired in my new turn signals. They're brighter and the design is soo much better (no pics atm )

greetings strada,
this is a low-hanging-fruit-longshot and you've probably ruled it out already....could the cold socal weather right now have caused tire psi to drop enough to cause a tpms light??

those tpms systems a good for the dealer wallet. BMW had one of the most reliable system, but federals laws seemed to kill it. In Canada we received the abs sensor based tpms, I have this on all my bmw and it's pretty awesome. Ill say around 5-6psi difference it will trow a warning.

Only cons is you have to find which tire, but other than that you dont have to deal with sensors, coding, connection, battery, 8 wheels/car (winter-summer) and I can swap my wheels over all my cars no hassle .
Wondering if it can be retrofit on US cars

I checked first, unfortunately not it!

My '06 has, and my former early production '07 had the FTM system. I would love to code it into the '09, but it is waaaay beyond my skillset.

The 328 transmission work was pretty much done, but an issue has occurred.

For reference, here is what has been done:
New mechatronics and connector seals
New selector rod (was broken, no reverse)
New tranny filter
New tranny pan gasket, bolts
New fluid

The car now thinks its in Reverse at all times. Gear selector lights show theres at least some information being sent..

Onto the troubleshooting! Again.

Edit: we're good! There was a pin/rod that connects to the gear selector that wasn't connected properly. Funny enough, we barely ran out of fluid. A quart of the fluid we had on hand was special order, so hopefully 250ml of some lubegard additive will be enough. Will update.

Edit 2:
Everything went great and its somehow shifting like butter! And I have reverse. It's been out since April of last year, and I bought it in May for cheap because of it. Unfortunately even though that tranny pany gasket is new, its one time use (we had to drop the pan again to fix the selector issue). Will have to get a replacement as well as bolts. Its a little leaky

Stuck in a spare combox as the one in my car was acting up (disconnecting randomly from Bluetooth, possibly causing the iDrive to reboot on a phone call). Seems to be working well, but I got a message which was most amusing from BMW…

Also put down an offer on some aluminum trim. I’ll see if I like it otherwise I’m sure someone on here would be more than happy to take it off my hands 😂

I was going to clean up the part of my engine underneath the intake manifold, but I work outside, and it was a windy day in NYC. I popped the hood, and while I was rolling my shop cart out to the car, a gust of wind slammed the hood shut.

I took it as a sign to go back inside and order new hood struts.
