Went to Apple store North Ave after dinner to complain we bought the full boat Ipad in Sept w/Apple care and now they come out with one twice as fast, 5 weeks later, guy said they are taking back any purchased within 30 days of announcement, but since we had Apple Care he would refund it today if we return it now, and will have the new on Friday for us...that works...whew...

Yea he looks and acts like a grease ball. I have a 6th sense for bullshit and it was going crazy when I spoke with him in person. He basically wanted me to write a blank check when trying to diagnose my problem. I told him yea, ok well let me think about it. Picked it up a couple hours later and took it to the dealer up north across the dixie line off of 94. Mind you the other dealer did exactly what I said and sloved the problem with no bullshit

When a local mechanic installed my new AE exhaust, he removed the gasket that connects to the Dp and tried to reuse it. Because of that, there was an exhaust leak. I told my problem to Timo and he said he'll take a look at it. He brought me back to the shop and told me that the exhaust was crap and the welds were not sealed properly. It was obvious that there was a gasket leak on the dp area. You can feel it when you put your hand near it.
Long story short, he charged me $130 something for diagnosing that and told me I needed to replace the exhaust.
I replaced the gasket myself and the car was good to go!

Why didn't you just replace the gasket yourself to begin with? Timos always been good to me.

I originally went to Patrick for the gaskets and spoke to Timo before I purchased them. He guaranteed me it wasn't the gasket that was the issue. He said the exhaust was cheaply made. If I knew he was going to charge me, I wouldn't have let him look at the car to begin with. I brought my car there many many times for small issues, and they never charged me, even if it was not covered under warranty with non oem parts.

Well, fwiw, the last sa i used at knauz told me what my odds were. He was also up front in that he was willing to play dumb but wasn't willing to loose his job for me if the shit got thick, which I appreciated.

He also said, BMWNA is getting pretty vigilant about mods/warranties. Again, one SA's statement so take it for what it is worth.
