Good Question, I will have to try that. There were some options about panic alarm that I did not mess with. I will report back...

Now I get beeps when locking and unlocking, cool! I was also able to change the siren to USA from Britain settings, since I got the kit off eBay from Poland.
I've wondered what coding would do when I bought the components. I already had beeps for arming/disarming, I wonder if everything was already active pending the hardware installation?

Thanks, you should probably also check that the interior sensor, FUNK_INNENRAUMSCHUTZ, is set to Active in DWAI.

Did some fiddling last night. Initially the trunk button did nothing. (except open the trunk, of course!) So I went in and activated the "panic button" feature. Wala! It now activates the alarm when held.

I did not see you post about the interior sensor, but will check that after work today. I noticed the panic button was marked as factory setting in ProTool, I think I may go through all of the alarm settings and change them to "factory". Thank you for the feedback and comments, coding is fun!

I took delivery of a new Sport bumper and fenders, I'll be in the garage tomorrow and look forward to getting it back in order. Perhaps someone will be interested in a slightly damaged front bumper...pictures coming soon.

Thank you for letting us know your experience with Protool for coding the alarm. I recently also installed the alarm hardware and although I have NCS Expert and NCS Dummy, I was wondering how well Protool would work. How did you activate the "panic button" feature in Protool? (What pathway?)

Once connected I went into Safety and the alarm section, not the alarm siren section. Once in there I saw an option labeled "panic button", I think it was the second or third option down after "sunroof installed". Then I saved the changes back to the car, that's all it took.

Whelp - caught the flu on Sunday, so it hasn’t really been driven (and for the local Post offices’ sake, I haven’t sent out the start button yet…)

But, the sunglasses tray came in. Couldn’t resist. So much better than the smoker’s package tray (to say nothing of the IMHO cheap looking LCI void).

Highly recommend, especially if you already have the matching cover for your trim! I did not, and BTW there’s only 8 new LCI-aluminium cover pieces left in Germany.

Cool, didn't know that existed.

Looks like the cigarette lighter just gets unplugged and deleted?

If you have the smokers package, you could always put an Induktiv wireless charger. Just thought I'd mention it.

My E90 (2011) didn’t have the smokers package at all. Just the plastic tray thing. But yes, you’d unplug the wiring for the cigarette lighter. Back in the day when the E90 first came out, people tapped into the wiring for the lighting in the ashtray, used the LED from the smokers package, and added some ambient lighting. So that’s an option too.

Pro-tip: when moving over your old cover, use a plastic pry tool from the back (i.e. edge closest to the dash/CIC/radio). Doing it from the front will only destroy the finish on the lid!

I was going to comment this! I did that to mine. It looks great at night, I highly recommend it. I wish I had taken pictures of the backside but the "skeleton" of the tray has these perfectly symmetrical corners that I aligned the LED boards with before I glued them in. Provides a little support, no need for measurement, and the spacing just looks "right." Still considering getting some clear epoxy to fill in the drilled holes. I say this years after doing this mod.
Also sorry to hear about the flu! I ended up catching it too. My stomach is still having a hard time accepting food and water a week later.. pretty exhausting lol.

I did the accessory tray upgrade on an older car with smoker's package. It had the LEDs already, and I just drilled some holes and taped them on:

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...ostcount=19737

I mounted them to the sides on another car when I did the same mod. That's probably a better move.

That previously was one of the first things I did, but probably not going to do it on the new e91 as I instead put in an USB/voltmeter plug and I like that a LOT!

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...&postcount=144

But I do like having the pre-LCI closing top. LCI bin definitely has more space though.

Very general question.

On my 335 (bought used) I found that the boost solenoid harness clip was cut and soldered back.

Other than a Mac solenoid hard connection, what mod could require to cut/tap in the boost solenoid wire ? Knowing the car was stock !

Boost gauge?

My only guess is a repair, like a cracked connector, but the car got 69k miles, so pretty good shape

I fitted the new bumper and M3 Rep fenders, nothing fit easily but I'm pleased with it. The CSL wheels should be here in March or April and then maybe Sport side skirts. Is there a market for a slightly damaged E92/93 Sport bumper?

Yussss M3 fender gang. I want to get another set, my sidemarkers have never fit properly. Do you have a link?

And there is definitely a market for a used msport bumper. Put it on marketplace for $250 and see what happens

@colorado.e9x, I appreciate the comment and will clean the items up and post them. I found the side indicators tight to fit but they worked. The link below will take you to the fenders.
