Soooo tempting. But looks like the way it's inset just wouldn't work without the proper lower dash piece.

Mine are due too. I use the Meguiars Heavy duty headlight restoration kit. Works great too. I

Yep, I miss the one on my msport f31, which had no driver assists as those replace the cubby so I didn’t want a car with them. Great place to put your sunglasses or a pack of smokes/ gum or both.
Wife’s atlas has a cubby about same size and location and it really is super convenient.

What I did today was pack my diagnostic computer, and both diagnostic k an and bmw scanner diagnostic heads, my cig lighter to 110 inverter, assorted phone and watch chargers and 4 days of clothing, my one way trip permit (aka paper plate) and travel sized toiletries to get ready to head to the airport on Friday at 3am and fly to pick up my first e91 and drive 2,000 miles home

Will be nice to be back in a touring and especially a manual one.dunno who here has ever bought parts of a car they don’t even have yet, but that is me this time.

I also bought a good used perforated leather handbrake handle to match the POs (msport? ) steering wheel and that came in so I gave it a really good clean twice with Lenos leather cleaner, and then did a Lexol treatment x2 to resoften the leather.

Overall the leather cleaned up quite nicely, and got supple again.

and also got some window shades for ALL the rear windows on the new e91 from a company in the UK that I had used for rear shades for the f31.Needless to say I was pleased with the fitment and qualify of the f31 set to buy again and pay the intl shipping a second time.

Do you have to disconnect the battery at all or just not have the key in the dash/ignition on?

If you don’t have a computer to clear them I’d recommendto roll down one or both front windows, open trunk max tie a rag around the latch so it can’t close, then disco the battery and wait a few min before messing with any of the airbags.

The reason for the two first steps are so you don’t accidentally lock your self out of the trunk or the cabin if you get a big gust of wind etc or a friendly neighbor sees you left a door open and closes it etc.

I found this set online, look like style 225 replica.

The center cap is RTX, seems like discontinued.

The reason why I would go with replica, those are 18'' and not 19'' as OEM.

Any ideas which brand do nice replica?

Junkyard dog

I went to the local pick-n-pull for the remaining bits I need for the CCC>CIC retrofit on both 335's. I found two center console trims, two 26 pin connectors for the combox, and 2 MOST terminators. One of the center console parts is good, the other looks odd, like the wood delaminated under the clearcoat. Going to have to go eBay for the second one. All in all, not bad for $40!

There were two trunks I wanted to get into, but one didn't have folding rear seats, guess you have to bring a jump box just to power the trunk release?

Test fitting some NOS NRG Carbon in the bay Perfect fit. The snorkel needs to be removed to fit that portion. Very excited! Just need to find a matching scoop for over the kidney grilles.

Excuse the mess, I'm changing a bunch of stuff this year to tidy it up. Once the weather stays consistently better itll get a full detail too

Put these guys instead of hi-fi subs. Of course cleaned everything under seats.

Amazing improvement with previous fitted MATCH UP8 amp. Now it's time for mid bass and tweeters. Logic7 (150 EUR) or Individual audio (300 EUR)?

Activated Sirius on it today for the drive home. It’s nice to not be totally reliant on music streaming,
as there are places you just don’t get a cell signal out here in the desert southwest.

Just got some pics from s14pwr after the MTech bumper conversion came back from being color matched/sprayed.

It’s crying out for some coilovers and railectomy. But later says my accountant (wife)

Included Pic of my former f31 xdrive diesel for funsies.

Have also had a 2004 e46/3 and a 1992 e34/2 manual.

“Always Tourings, All the time” pretty much sums up my BMW ownership experience.

I really want that bumper lol

This weekend I replaced the valve cover. Original was cracked(my fault after overtightening the bolts by hand after a gasket replacement) I used a torque wrench this time and 7lbs of torque are a big difference to me "snugging them" or as many would say over torquing them.

Replaced the passenger front door actuator as it kept triggering an open door warning. Also made me take out the bulbs out of the overhead console as driving at night with the lights constantly fading in and out was not a good time. Lubed the blower motor to stop the typical chirp and finally address the strut bar squeak for good. A washer and think double sided 3M tape did the strick. Used it on the cowl and washer on both sides and torqued the bolt down. So far so good. It is crazy how much of a difference it makes driving the car with the added creaking.

Next project will be to tackle the passenger front hub bearing and that should smooth things out substancially.

Did not work on one of the cars, worked on one of my John Deere's today. Has been sitting for 8 months due to variety of maladies.

Fisrt was easy fix the the Hydraulic drive was puking fluid because of a stuck check valve. Took few minutes to troubleshoot and even less time to clean and replace.

Next issue the carburator was causing no start and rough runnning issues like surging and a occasional backfire. so I removed the said offender and disassembled it to clean the jets and it was full of jellied ethanol man do I hate this crap gas!!! And they want to make it E15 from E10 NO!!!

Cleaned the everything and still was giving me issues so I took fuel pump apart and cleaned that and blew out the fuel line and the fuel pick up in the tank. Runns nice now. Next small job on it do an oil change and run a can of seafoam through the system to get rid of any remain crap.

Love having heat in my garage.

Enough with the tease, here's the full Monty:

Super-super-super easy install with one additional step from what you can see on YT: Use a nut driver or a socket to put counter-pressure on the outside wall while you tap the pin out from the inside.

Took less than a minute to pop both pins out once you get the rear fascia off. I didn't have the center spring or gears, so a super easy job. Highly recommended way to freshen up the love affair with your E90 this Valentine's Day! Put that on a Hallmark card!

This is all you need. And what I used when I bought my first E90 in 2018. And figuratively what I used buying my second E90 last year.
