Agreed on the LEDs... I don't mind the warm incandescents, but LEDs definitely clean it up and modernize it a bit. Either way, aluminum trim looks great on these cars!

I like warm light but not as warm as old bulbs. So today installed warm leds and I think they perfectly match interior:

Which kit did you get?

I'm undecided on this one. They look more modern, but I sort of appreciate the warm glow of the incandescent lighting inside the car; easier on the old eyes too.

But wood trim? Nah, I don't like it as it really makes the car feel like a 2006 model. Aluminum would definitely freshen it up.

I purchased these. Took a week or so to get them but they’re pretty bright and dim in and out pretty well to mimick OEM lighting.

Hit a giant pothole on the right side. Pennsylvania end of winter... ugh.

Nothing feels loose, but something moved a little bit. Steers slightly right, and pulls slightly left at center now.

Don't think it bent a wheel. I can probably thank the compliant 16" snow tires for that. Nor do the tires seem damaged.

I'll throw it up on jack stands this afternoon to take a closer look, try to determine if something is broken. First thoughts, either something slipped in the rear, or the hydraulic strut-rod bushing in the front collapsed.

I live in Philadelphia, I hit a pretty bad one in the summer two years ago, my wheel looked like a pretzel and the hub bearing starting making noise last fall. This winter after a storm I nailed another one and now the bearing is begging to be put out of it's misery. I'm driving on 19's so snow tires are your set up definitely helped to not have a blow out and bent rim.

I replaced the belt, pulleys and tensioner, the old ones didn't look bad at all but I've owned it for nearly eight years and it's better to be ahead of a failure. I spent some time with a can of degreaser and shop towels and cleaned the area well. The E60 spare was delivered also and now I'm prepared for a tire issue, Lord knows the Nashville potholes are getting worse by the day.

And then I washed it...

Good call - in my last service, my shop saw that my OFHG was leaking all over my belt. Second leak in my ownership, second set of belt and pulleys too. Better safe than sorry!

I've been putting off the OFHG and OCG because I haven't seen a mess but this is my next DIY.

Pretty quick, inexpensive, and clean-ish maintenance! I'm gearing up for plugs and coils, and going to do the cowl at the same time. It's not awful, but not great.

Also interested, don’t like cold white lights, but if they are warm and can still fade on off lik3 the filament ones I’d be interested.

Where did you find the rear window shade? I have all the rest, but not that one.

It’s actually a full kit by carshades.uk. They have 3 little holders that the spring metal frames of the shades clip into on left and right side of the rear glass.

I had their f31 kit on my f31 and liked it so much I bought the e91 kit and had it here before I even bought the e91!

Not only does it shade, it kills sound reflections off the glass which makes the car quieter and the stereo sound better. If you look carefully you can see the 3 3m stick on clips for each of the two panels.

Hi friends. It's been a while since I've been in an e9x. I'm cheating on my x5d and M5 😲, but I found this Deep Green Metallic over Dakota leather with sports package and couldn't pass it up. Manual swap in the works too 😁

Howdy! I'm in West Seattle. Always nice to find more locals.

I'll be doing it myself. Still working out my parts list, mostly consumables, but I have all the big stuff already.
