awesome - that is quite the undertaking!? and involves dme, driveshaft? etc?

Fixed the ac today.it was damn near empty.

Hoping someone undid a connection when bumper swapping.

Otherwise I’ll be chasing a leak later on.

Next thing to fix is comfort access and I’ll have everything working.

That rear glass shade looks awesome.

I'm getting old, and it's becoming tiresome to suffer the miserably aimed Subaru and Jeep headlights behind me. Not to mention every pickup truck.

Do they come out with relative ease for cleaning the glass? Or does the double-sided tape need to be replaced each time they are removed.

Had a successful wrenching weekend on my 95K mile N52:

1) CSF radiator + new radiator hoses
2) new coolant reservoir
3) power steering reservoir + fluid flush
4) replaced tired muffler hangers for the PE

Radiator and coolant reservoir were preventative.

Power steering reservoir was not, lol. The old power steering fluid was absolutely disgusting and the cap was leaking.

Earlier in the week, I replaced my HID bulbs after one burnt out -- what a difference, though!

So I got to check quite a few items off my to-do list!

But discovered I need to add a big one: oil pan gasket, the final frontier of gaskets for me.

I know exactly what you mean, a Ford pick up was blinding me from behind despite electrochromatic mirrors all around the other night.

Good mews is that The mount/clips stay and the shades come out all the way around.
What I noticed before is that once in place you really don’t get dirty windows on the inside anymore. At least I didn’t when I had them for a couple years in the f31.

Does anyone know where to get a ac manifold hose to threaded can adapter for next time?

Edit. Of course, harbor freight. Should’ve known!

Can't be as hard as my E60 M5 swap!
From the looks of it, the driveshafts are the same for the X-drive models, but the guy I bought most everything from included them, so I've got a backup. The DME should be the same, I'll just have to reflash with the manual ZB number. Gotta find out what that one is though...

I've done very little research other than checking part numbers. If there isn't a thread dedicated to this already I'll post one.

And then I washed it...

Nice. My tensioner bolt broke from the top going out of my garage. I know I got lucky. I immediately turned car off. Replace it with a new OEM bolt from the dealer. My tensioner was not that old.

what brand?

I'm questioning this route now. My car is black, M sport stuff are grey.

Debating if I should go only paint or DIY wrap, and bring the bumpers to a pro.

Im going with Teckwrap. Its the closest brand to Inozetek (which doesnt sell retail) for the color I want

I'm DIYing everything with a friend, and then bring in a pro we know to help out with bumpers. Going to attempt door jams as well

Paint is permanent and much more expensive to be done right. Eventually when this become a full fledged $$$ project car I'll be having it painted

oh wow , on a DIY ! cool.

I was looking for vinylfrog wrap.
Ive looked a tons of video
Did chrome ''delete'' with 3m wrap.

I think Im realy, but the cutting wire for bumper I dont feel comfortable to use it.
If I mess up and need 2 rolls, Ill be in the price range of a new paint for only my bumpers and hood...

can't really hire someone now, I have a lots of dents, my e91 was my beater, but since it was un pretty good condition (but body panels) it turned into a project car.

I will but a lot of elbow grease to prep the car prior to wrap.

Ill be honest I'm not looking forward to it haha, I don't like the idea of messing up. I bought a full roll just in case though

I had the money (and appt) to pay the guy thats helping us to do the whole thing but then a week before the engine issues started lol

Luckily wrap is temporary. Could always just do it as is until you have the time & money to take care of it all at once

Parts quality has been awful the past couple years, even with OEM parts. I bought an INA tensioner two years ago, and after 10k miles it had a rattle and the bearings were shot.

Same happened to my INA tensioner, started rattling after 2 years. I replaced it with another INA, not sure what other alternatives are any good.
