i bought some wheels from a member in socal on this forum however they were damaged from shipping
seller was rude as he kept trying to weasel his way out of paying as little for damages as possible caused by his own poor packageing for shipment not only that he also boasted how he was sponsored by LTBMW and his friends were all buddies with Long Tran http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=304094 the wheels were put in the box and shipped without any cardboard / foam / bubble wrap over the faces of the wheels, not even newspapers or at least a garbage bag i had even instructed the seller to package them with more cardboard / foam / bubble wrap before paying for the wheels what happened was that the wheels moved around inside the box and the wheels suffered from scratches within the box from moving around rubbing against the cardboard repeatedly during transport as well as the box gave way and nothing was protecting the wheel face / lips inside the boxes when they were being moved around possibly thrown around needless to say all wheels have scratches and the lips of the wheels have all sorts of little nicks and dents some are larger than others some wheels have nicks from small to medium some wheels have clear coat that has cracked and peeled all of the wheels have scratches from moving around inside the box the seller only wants to pay for half the repair cost... is this fair? how much $ should i ask from the seller for the damages? i have quotes for wheel repair / refinishing in my area for $135 > $175 > $195 for each wheel the seller thinks its too much and was only willing to pay a total of $100 for the cost the damages to all four wheels ($25 for the cost to of damages on each wheel) i'm no where near son tran nor i think son tran can fix the dings that has been indented on the wheels... though he could probably could only fix the scratches on the wheels
