It's Drambuie on ice... I actually think there's some medicinal qualities to it. Had a terrible sore throat and it numbs it a bit. Plus, you know, everything else.
Drambuie alone isn't enough for the cold viruses. Need to mix it with a blended Scotch, a.k.a. the Rusty Nail!

"Drambuie is a golden-coloured, 40% ABV liqueur made from Scotch whisky, heather honey, herbs and spices."

It really is. The OH- obviously does it's thing and relaxes you, but the honey provides a bit of soothing for the throat, and I think reduces the coughing. That's what I tell myself anyway!

It really is! The price was about 50% higher than the last bottle I bought... I wasn't expecting that!

Ok, to bring this back from the edge of needing a liver replacement, I have great news: Front fender went in with zero drama! A lot more prep went into than I was planning on as it was really rust on the inside where the lip rolls in. Who would have expected that from a British car!?!?!? So treated, sanded, scraped, and painted it yesterday during the Santa Ana wind storm. Nice calm and sunny day today, so I was out there with my assistant pulling the old one and slapping the new one on. Turned that bottom bolt behind the washer reservoir to face into the door jamb. WTH BMW, why do you do these things? The rest was literally plug and play! The paint isn't perfect, but it actually matches the rest of the car pretty well. Really makes the clear coat problems stand out though. I think I'm going to try my hand with rattle can clear coat... has to be better than it looks now! let it be noted, the fender is done!

Original one with crap paint on top, new one with good paint but rust virus on bottom:

Half-way there/living on a prayer:

Works for me:

Followed by a not-so-fast trip to Big Bear to retrieve my assistant's phone which was lost at Snow Summit Friday:

What they neglected to tell us was that it was found by a snow groomer overnight:

Okay, back to drinking...

Even if the booze doesn't kill the virus, it will make you care a lot less if you drink enough of it.

Nice work!

One note on the rattle can clear coat. Everyone and their ...(ok mother doesn't work here) uses these 2K clear coats right off the shelf. Yes, they give amazing results. And yes, your liver will die not from the liquor, but from the nasty isocyanates in those 2K products. Look up their MSDS sheets. It's poison and is absorbed through skin and requires full body suit and positive ventilation helmet. Yet, a bunch of "influencers" are showing off spraying it with just their covid masks on. They will not live to their 100,000 subcribers.
OK, that's enough for PSA.

Back to the E91 studio.

Alrightythen.

Are there any not-deadly CC options? I'd still like to find "a guy" that has a home-booth that does side jobs.

For the record, piggyback infection is effing me up. On antibiotics for sinusitis, but the rest of me is toast.

That was without 2K carcinogens!

I'd just look for something that's not 2K for home use. Anything labelled 1K or simply free of iso-cyanates will be more agreeable with your life expectancy goals. Or as you said, find someone with a proper home shop.

Yeah, that is my real goal. I haven't really looked super intensely, just a little on Craigslist. Will get more serious about it at some point, as the clear coat is the only thing that's rough on it now.

Thanks for the advice!

Successfully coded out the TPMS error I was getting and activated the FTM option!
It was a stressful process, but with the help of the folks here and at BimmerGeeks I'm now good to go!
