Stuff it, I've just ordered a set lol, found out today I will receive the car around second week of June, the wait is killing me, this will be 10 months.

viperx100 eibach pro kit look good and are a nice compromise between reducing fender gap and daily driveability - I've had them on my Subaru BRZ for ~9 years (and 3 lost front lips). I kind of want them for the 240 but I worry about the oil cooler up front too much as it is

I can see your concern and that's why I like the Pro Kit over Sportline. Not as aggressive of a drop, you get to keep the daily driveability and reduce the fender gap to less than 2 fingers. I think with sportline, it is recommended that you replace your shocks to be able to handle the extra amount of lowering and stiffer springs. This is my only car and as such, a daily. She'll most likely never see a track.

You're almost there, bud! At least you already have the toys ready! That's exactly what I did.

Sorry, I meant to say pro kit above, not sport lines. I had sportlines years ago on a Honda prelude.

I may wait until a skid plate is available before doing any lowering.

Kids, use protection! What prelude did you have? I had a 2001 Black Prelude. Loved that car!

It was a base (SOHC non-VTEC) 1992. It was pretty much my first car and in 1998 it was really cool.

Oh man, that was my favorite design. Gen 4! That VTEC version 93-96 with leather seats, 4WS, and 190hp was so sick. Hard to find and I never owned one, but I test-drove Gen 4 SI (automatic) with VTEC and 4WS, and that 4WS felt so trippy. It gripped really well but it felt like I was sliding out because of the 4WS and FWD. A little nerve-wracking, haha.

Car had a good long spa day. First black car ever and it’s been quite the routine maintenance. Love it and proud 😊

Confirms my thoughts the 240i better looking than the M2.

That's a 230 but I agree. I always liked the look of the 230's exhaust over 240's. But I switched mine out for quad tips, so all is well again. Personally, I wish that I had the body-colored ground effects like the 230/M2 as well. Or at least have them be matte and not shiny high gloss plastic that shows every scratch.

Yeah the piano black side skirts are the only thing I hate about the car. I wish the top half was body color and where it gets closer to the ground it chamged to matte black.

Surprisingly the gray side skirts are holding up really well. The piano black in the front and side vents, not as much.

Piano black plastic on the exterior is the biggest design fail

I had my full front and glossy side skirts wrapped in PPF so that leaves the rear bumper the only thing exposed. But I don't even like the looks of the shiny bits (personal preference). Just like a lot of us got the high gloss interior covered with CF from Ali.

Agreed, the beat down they will take from the elements is only part of it. The black side skirts look half assed but for some reason BMW thought it would look cool.

My front bumper parts are PPF'd, I haven't done the sides yet

I am in a wheelchair, so when I get into the car, the side of the chair touches the side skirt, so I always get those wrapped in PPF for some extra support to the foldout protector that I have installed.

viperx100 Did you buy a precut kit for the sides or did you/the shop cut from a bulk roll? I kinda want to get those done while they're still pristine

I had my detail shop that did everything (PPF, ceramic coating, spoiler, reflectors, badges, etc.) do it. They actually threw in the side skirts for free (I am a return customer since they did my F-type before this one). I assume that they cut from a bulk roll, for sure.
