Reliance Autobody Apex Autobody Almaden Collision All great places with good prices. If you need a one stop shop for parts/installs/fender roll hit up SpeedElement. Also, hi new person. I'm Marvin.

"Where is the cheapest place to get my oem m-tech rear + performance diffuser painted in the bay area? Also may need fender rolling." Let's start by dissecting this. He wants to get his bumper and diffuser painted. However, he's asking for a cheap body shop to have it done at. Additionally, seeking if they could do fender rolling. Now, your argument towards my comment is completely irrelevant. You're predicting outcomes that I did not mention nor did the poster. My point is, that if you want your paint to come out amazing, then you cannot be cheap about where you go. Therefore, an ALTERNATIVE solution is to wait until you have some damage on your rear bumper. Have it covered by your insurance to take it to a GOOD shop, then pay ONLY for the deductible--usually $500. Don't state my comment is stupid when you are making irrelevant predictions about the future. |

Hey man, i didn't know it was you, lol while you do have a point about it being expensive and yes insurance will cover a good job if he does get the bumper damaged, but you're making a prediction too, I still think he should buy the bumper whenever he wants too, I've had some cars for years and nothing ever happened to it and others that got totaled in a few months , id say the OP should just spend a bit more but get the bumper that he wants BTW Arexniba, i didn't mean to say you are stupid, what i was implying was that to rely on insurance to get it fixed is a little stupid as you might never have too get it fixed. |

Spent like 8-9 hours yesterday replacing my rear wheel bearings on the e90. I tried to do it like this guy on YouTube as a shortcut by not taking the hub off the car and using a press. Wasted so much time doing that and would have been a lot easier to do it the right way. Lesson learned! Was so frustrated and tired... at least I get to work on it on my buddy's lift!

Hey guys,
I'm not going to wait until someone hits me. I am not looking for the cheapest paint job possible. Don't want peeling paint within a year or anything like that.. How much should I expect to pay for the following? I have a brand new OEM mtech rear and performance diffuser. Both come primered from the factory. (The diffuser is only part primered) I want to paint the diffuser gloss black and the bumper space gray. |

You can spend anywhere from $500 (cheap like Maaco) to $4k. It really boils down to the shop, their rates, and their reputation. My best advice would be to go to the shop, ask if you can check out some of the work they are doing on current cars and evaluate it yourself how good their work looks. As for paint, it all comes down to how good the parts are prepped before painting. Good luck |

Hey guys,
I just moved into the South Bay. Coming from Orange County I was involved with Cars & Coffee as well as meets at LTMW. What is the best website/forum/group to check for local gatherings and meets? I am looking to kick tires and talk cars. Here are some pic of my wagon. Evan |

Help! My car has the red steering wheel column lock (triggered by dead battery) error preventing my car from starting. According to the threads, I need a coder to help me unlock this. My BT cable is only Enthusiast, not Pro, so I can't unlock myself. If you can help me with this, please PM! Thanks!
