At issue there is the HPFP not malfunctioning unless I have a tune installed, and am pushing it full throttle over 100mph. Since the dealer has already seen the car for the same code and not done anything (they can't recreate on stock settings) I may have to beat on it until it gives up completely for them to do anything. I could also just keep taking the car back until they give in, but that's really annoying so I'm not convinced I want to do that yet.

Annoying but that's how it goes, personally I'd like it if they warrantied the components not just the car so I could just walk in with the part and walk out with a non-malfunctioning unit.

What about just buy the latest design HPFP and replace yours on your own dime...its not much if you get it from Tischer and the swap will take you max 2 hours

I'll have to dig into it and see what others with HPFP failures have done, looks like Tischer is $274 so that's not too bad if the failure % rate is lower.

That's really good news, the more components on the car that can stay reliable the better

I had the 881 pump on both my N54s, never had a problem. I have a 933 now post-recall and it's been trouble free. I think for the most part the HPFP issue has been fixed considering very few people speak of it anymore.

I've been lucky, no issues with my original pump and no issues with the new pump which they replaced ony because I was under the recall

In other news... new time coming tonight. without a bogged shift I should be a bit further down in the 9's.

you seriously need to come down to my neck of the woods to take advantage of the favorable slopes. I need to take my own advice though... There's a road with a 2.9% slope if you start at the right point on the crest and people are pulling off some impressive 60-130's there. I tried it once, but I started too early and it was a 3.2%

Turns out pump may be fine, Terry had me tweak a few things and now I'm able to do all the way to the end of 4th without CEL. Going to try 60-130 again tonight

Yes, default of 80 was too much. I played with that setting last night but had it backwards in my mind and was raising it, when it needed lowered. I swear whenever I email Terry I always feel like a noob when he replies, he makes it seem so obvious

Only got one run in tonight, came down to turn around for a second pass and a cruiser was pulling onto that road! Decided it was best to head home

60-130: 11.3 seconds

Not bad for negative slope and fully loaded down! Will be trying out a much better spot another night that is 2% decline or so.

Used the measure function to calculate the data since it wasn't doing it for me on Accel Report, just right click and Measure then you go to 60mph on the graph and hit spacebar and then 130mph on the graph and spacebar again. It calculates all the differences between the two points, saved me some time doing it manually

Also ran a solid 1/4 mile time that finally got logged, not my best but the best I have a vbox log for, can't wait to get to the strip so I can get a 1.65 60' from my first gear launch.

0-60: 3.59s
0-100: 8.68s
1/8: 7.69 @ 93.5mph
1/4: 11.92 @ 117.51mph
60' : 1.81s (spun most of first gear, got sideways a bit!)

Just something interesting I observed, but my best times always seem to be run on little to no slope. Why it is the case? Who knows. Just something I observed. As for favorable slopes, J, I have a place for thine tucchus that is 2.8-2.9%, and pretty much on your way home.

That one is actually more like 2-2.5. It's pretty close though.

No way, my first 60-130 of 9.81 was done on a 0.8 slope, when I pulled on level ground after 2 hours cool down I ran a 10.57 with a 0.01% slope. slope can influence 60-130 by well over a second.

Buddy with the C63 went from high 9s low 10s on level ground to 8.7 on a 2.5% slope.

Maybe you coincidentally bogged during those downhill slope pulls? That'll hurt you a ton.
