Any recommended shops in Central NJ for PE Mod to my LCI N55? RSW does not do PE mod, were recommending full exhaust replacement. Am only interested in PE Mod but can't find a good 'done that' installer locally. TIA

Any trustworthy shops on Long Island that specialize in BMW?

Indy shop can't diagnose the issue.

1. 07' E90 w/101k miles. Some engine ticking, some leaked oil in the driveway, and an occasional "service light" pop up, but otherwise no other warnings or lights. (Indy found no codes or issues).

2. Months later, serpentine belt blows while driving. Shredded pieces & oil all over engine/bay.

3. Have car towed to indy. Belt replaced. Engine bay cleaned out.

4. Engine ticking/noise is worse. Indy swapped out a spare oil pump switch, and that didn't do anything. They've never seen anything like this, and are saying they don't want to run the car for fear it will damage the engine.

5. Help? Advice? Anyone with a similar experience?

Just looking for any BMW Indy locations in Lower Westchester County, NY, or even the Bronx that have been used by any of our forum members. I've really had no luck in the Bronx, surprised since there are so many BMW owners who would really be happy to have a good reliable BMW Indy in this Boro.

I know this is a little late, but for future reference...

I've been taking all my BMWs to Jan (pronounced Yan) at Jan's Euro Motors in Huntington. Most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with, specializes in BMW and Benz. Wouldn't use for 'performance work' but he is awesome: http://www.janseuromotors.com/

Engine is toast my friend. it probably pulled the belt in the engine some and ruined a bunch of stuff. This was a problem on 07 cars.

Could someone recommend a shop that can perform a good pre purchase inspection on a 2013 335i coupe, e92, n55 motor. at the mimimum must have bmw specific tools / scanners and a lift to check overall condition and wear and tear. thanks.

Auto Dynamics in Jersey City is an amazing shop. Rob is the man. Sat there and watched tons of people come in whether to have something done, hang, or just for advice. Honest and reliable. Haven't been on in years but felt that this needed to be said.
