Good job Socks! So, where did you end up scoring the Akebonos from? I sourced from the US when the exch rate was better but not sure if that is still the case.

As I have mentioned before elsewhere, the feel of these pads will be different and you will notice it right from your first press of the pedal. You will get used to the difference fairly quickly - you need to give it a chance to bed in and the performance will improve. Ceramics do not have the initial bite of OEM pads but the stopping power for on-road use will be there. Dust-free wheels will have you never looking back!

Which bit did you blow off... the silicone joiner from charge pipe to the oem fmic pipe? And there is no boost?

If its just that you should be able to fix that without going to Active. Or you can swing by mine and ill fix it up for you.

This is not rare, probably fix it yourself. If you have aftermarket CP more likely than not the silicon hose has just popped off the cool side.

Would just check and screw back on, would also be a good investment getting a OCC from BMR

I think so Harmsy,
Yep drove out of the car park and there was no boost. Managed to reseat it and tighten up the clamp but not sure if its properly secured. Thanks for the offer mate, I was taking the car into Active anyway. Need to get the O2 sensor fitted so Ill get them to check the CP connections while its there..... Can't log until I get the sensor fixed and get rid of the half engine shut down on WOT

Yes sir, Peli

Waiting for collection after, service, oil change, ceramic pads, new O2 sensor, upgraded boost sensor, stage 2 LPFP, fixed CP connection and fitted new oil filter housing gasket.

Had trouble getting home because car kept throwing codes and dropping into limp mode. Not because of anything Active had done, just but because the ECU would not recognise the 3.5 T map sensor until I reflashed the MHD tune with the N20 option ticked.

I have to say I was a bit worried, I was going to have to sleep in the car but got it going, so all good in the end

Oh damn you're giving her plenty of love at the moment, yeah i would be worried picking up my freshly serviced car only to have it limp home.

Glad your have it all sorted though we all know how much fun diagnosing a problem on these cars can be

Bet it was running like crap. My car wouldn't even start with the N20 sensor until i reflashed with MHD N20 option.
