Took 2 mins to do, there was even a count down! I had a similar-ish issue where the monitor would stop then crash mhd out. Turns out it was my OTG cable playing up! Changed it and constant uninterrupted monitoring. Will have a play with the monitor to see if i can replicate your issue on how the monitor does not resume after the car is turned off then on. Currently I'm running default parameters and gauges are set for the following: Boost, Boost target, rail pressure, afr o2 1, afr o2 2, gears, IAT and coolant. Wish there was a 0-100kph timer like in torque so we could test on the track. Update: Even with the engine off and power off the obd2 power is still supplying power to the DCAN cable, so your monitor should be working still. Gauges like coolant temp should change and drop as the engine cools down. Last edited by rooks335; 05-26-2016 at 04:10 AM.. |

I am thinking if 10.1" will be too big. But with the gauges, 7" seems too small to show all gauges when I attach the device on the seat rail. If you don't mind, would you be able to post a photo of your device with the gauges? |

Yes, I planned to do the same as you did for the mounting. But just wonder how the gauges look like on a 7" screen or 10.1" screen. Yours is 8.4", how does the screen look like with 6 gauges? I don't want the gauges being too small and hard to read. However, 10.1" seems quite big. So, want to see if anyone could share his gauges screen. |

In relation to the DCAN cable.... which supplier on ebay has close to 100% reliable cables?
I've also read that they need to be the green board (not white board)? Is that right? |

Not sure if it is 100%, but I know a lot of local members have used this cable. |

is it possible to 'test' a DCAN cable before actually trying to do the flash? eg.. just using the Android device and cable? I'd like to test the cable before finding out that it doesn't work when trying to flash.
cheers |

If you're not JB4, test with monitoring and logging before flashing.

Reminder
Turn JB4 to map 0 before trying to flash MHD or it won't work !!! |

How are people setting up their gauges in car?
I find it annoying that I have to pull the DCAN out and reinsert every time I jump into the car and similar thing with the OTG cable with the tablet. Is there a more seamless way to basically have permanent gauges without the fiddling around setting it up every time? |

I think CCC only has composite video input so the quality isn't going to be fantastic.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/60cm-2ft-...MAAOSwLs5XLF1R Means you can flick the switch and prevent power draw from the OBD port! Might have to give it a go myself

Get on the MHD thread and start asking questions, as the old saying goes the squeakiest wheel gets the most oil
From what I've seen on this platform (Especially with MHD) they seem to deliver some great tech in a short timeframe! |

User guide can be useful to new players. The site was discovered by someone from this forum (edit:Thanks TGNY 335) http://www.twisted-visionz.com/#!mhd-flasher-n54/c2186 There are hints that ATF temp for the monitor will be available in summer (US summer). Martial from MHD is very responsive on emails which is a big plus. Ebay cable which I purchased and works aok. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/INPA-Edia...kAAOxycD9TT7PD Last edited by rooks335; 05-30-2016 at 09:41 PM.. |

I'm currently running mhd v6.1 stage 1 +fmic
With the alpina b3 transmission flash can't speak highly enough of it! So far everything has been great, in D shifts super early and kinda annoyingly, although when I go wot it shifts differently same when in S shifts are sweeet! Only thing I'd like to know is I went for a cruise on Saturday night when i got home i heard a buzzing noise from the engine. Popped the hood to try see if i could locate it and couldn't..it stopped in a few minutes... Another thing was the engine had a lot of heat coming off, more than usual. I am running the AA sports fmic... Any ideas? Cheers |
