There is a good reason why I do not show the hot side of my turbo. I am not going to make this too easy for the "professionals", let them learn just by themselves. If they want to. But I have already made a favour to them, now they know that there is a solution to the problem. Also in exhaust side, there are several improvements. But WG is still original size. Porting it is not any improvement, it is only something you must do, when you got trouble in the hot side ... Look carefully, what DWR wrote earlier about the thing. |

At least one "professional" turbo builder has the hot side figured out, more details to come from Jarek. There is a stage 2 hybrid setup capable of 470hp (with fuel upgrade of course) coming soon and yes, it has turbine mods.

Correct. The fueling scenario was the same between all these tests.

Hmm, 1+1 is ... If everyone steps back a minute, it might be noticed that "putting 2 and 2 together" from recent posts, there is now another option no one has mentioned yet - no IWG on the hot side. Who can provide that today? Hint, there isn't just one right answer! ![]() |

![]() As Tdi has proven there is no doubt the EWG has a huge advantage, but until its offered as a ready-to-go bolt-on solution I think its safe to say the majority on this forum cannot consider it as an option. No credit taken from Tdi though as he's done an outstanding job making it work and proving to us that it does ![]() Which makes me think, an EWG on a hybrid turbo car, hmmmm. |

Have you ever thought that boost pressure control can be also in the exhaust pipe ? Then, nothing disturbed's gas flow through the turbine. You don`t "waste" any pressure. Full response immediately, when gas flow again releases. Butterfly flap. Veryveryvery strange idea ... where were my evening medicines .... |

Let me be clear, a non wastegated turbine is an option, for those who also want a custom downpipe. Sorry if I wasn't being clear before. |

3 inch downpipe is good up to +++500hp - tested. With bigger, hybrid vnt turbos, there is a big improvement to awakening by using large downpipe. Tested also, many times. The bigger, the better. |

I've made 827whp on a 3" downpipe on a 3.2l BMW gas engine... The downpipe isn't a restriction here.
