So, what are the best things to be monitoring in the logs? I get that you need Gear, Boost Target, Boost Level, Cylinder Timing, IAT, Fuel Trims, RPM, LP and HP fuel pressure. Are there any other channels which are important?

I'm trying to eradicate some rough running under WOT from what appears to be timing being pulled. I think this is - thanks to the help of you guys - largely down to my stock Intercooler getting way too hot and timing going a bit wonky as a result. I'm also not quite hitting boost but again, I think this is down to the above. I'm fitting a new FMIC and DCI on Friday so looking forward to getting some logs in after that, but in the meantime, I;m keen to understand which combination of data do you look at for troubleshooting different issues.

BTW here's a log showing my IAT going up to 135 and timing corrections in cylinders 1 and 6.

http://datazap.me/u/theador/stage-2-...-9-10-11-12-24

Seems that one and six are my bad boys, I'm going to replace spark plugs on Friday too and maybe swap some coils around

One last log before installing the Intercooler and Intake on Friday.

Conversely I'm over boosting in this log!!

I did a fairly easy motorway drive to cool the IAT temp down first after stop-start drive across London. 3rd gear pulls nice straight timing, quick shift to 4th and WOT brought on a lot of timing correction in 3 cylinders (Cyl 6 not monitored for some reason ), the car hesitated badly shifting into 4th. IAT has gone well up by this point, so I'm thinking a new set of plugs and the intercooler should have me back on track?

You have some big post-shift timing corrections on 3 cylinders there.

Do you think that's a problem? Car feels great.

Dont know what could be causing this, i'm on new plugs coils and injectors.
Also added 5L of ethanol on a full tank 95 oct.

Anybody care to take a peak and see if maybe you could point me where to look..?? I'm on MHD stage 1 v5.1 map, and I'm FBO minus FMIC upgrade.. The other day I got a bunch of codes upon first cold start of the day, but a throttle reset & new battery fixed that.. The code it threw was 3100 - boost pressure control or something like that, but since I've replaced the battery yesterday I'm not throwing any codes now and the car drives fine, just not hitting and holding boost like it should.. Used to hit 17 & 18psi, now barely hitting 15psi.. I've read that the 3100 code was only trigger because the throttle issue throwing me into limp mode so perhaps that doesn't relate to my issue with boost..

Thanks!

Seems to hit boost target just fine.
Lot of throttle closure, did you log with dtc?

I forget if it was on or off but I did two logs and one was on and I forgot to turn it off, so I did turn it off for the next one.. I watched my gauges on my tablet and I noticed at higher RPM's my psi began to drop as low as 9psi..?? I was hitting 15 & 16psi consistently about two weeks ago so now I noticed these lower #'s which makes me think I have a boost leak somewhere.. There have been several instances of 17 & 18psi also, now that I'm seeing it barely hit 14psi is what made me assume I have a problem somewhere..

Is max boost on MHD Stage 1 only 14psi..?? I've been consistently hitting higher than that for the past few months so maybe I was just overboosting before and now that it's running normal I'm not used to that.. But I haven't changed anything but my new battery, so not sure why the sudden decrease..

Thanks for ur insight.!

okay so after installing my FMIC tonight, i decided to do a run on St 2 V6 93 and the new V7 map. I can tell the difference in my IATs as it was 89 degrees out at 11pm (Texas) but its a significant drop from stock. The bad, why are their so many timing corrections once i hit 4th Gear (6MT). New injectors bank 2, NGK .22 plugs, and walnut blast 1k ago. 113k on the clock

V6 map

v7 map beta 93
http://datazap.me/u/d8rknight/v7?log...12-13-14-15-21

much better with 2 gal of E85 to make e20 blend.

I'd look at your target boost and IATs. Doesn't appear you are loosing boost anywhere, but the corrections could be due to cheap gas. Where are you filling up? I had to go back to shell to get decent fuel. If you throw 1-2 gal of e85 and redo the pull on the 93 map see if that clears up timing corrections.

Thanks for this. I'm filling up at Shell with V Power Nitro every time. But It's a little local garage with really old pumps. Wondering if they're secretly selling a bad grade or something. I've suspected fuel for a little while. The plugs I'm not sure if they're NGKs or Bosch so they may need changing although I'm not getting any missfires.
