There are two version of the ZF 6HP19. First generation and second. If limited to the first generation 6hp16, the factory rating is dependent on the torque converter fitted. I think there where two 300Nm and 400Nm. 325 and 330. I'm sure it will handle more. How much, Not sure anyone really knows. Most where fitted to NA motors 3 liter motors. The are all getting pretty old by now, so would not abuse them without an overhaul. If doing a FI motor I would look at the second generation technical upgrade used in the 335 and 335D. Or maybe a manual.😨 |

Hello, is the project finished? I am definitely interested in applying this to my 325i with the ZF transmission. The fluid/filter service and mechatronics sleeves have already improved the driving immensely but I feel like more can be done lol.
By the way I have the teaser tune installed and it adds to the sportiness, thank you. |

Today, I really don't know if they allow users tunes. They rely on their app and I've never used it. Bimmerlabs used to allow GKW 211 projects but it seems this might have been taken down when people had problems flashing the GM transmissions with ZF files. Maybe Hassmachine made a mistake when he pulled the 328-330 trans files down. I've sent him a message, maybe he can fix it. and I can share a usable OLS file for the GKW211, sorry never created an XDF. |

Emailed rbt tuning. About xhp. I was thinking that xhp tool can be my solution like tcu flasher. But i confused with that what they replay.
"Hi,yes, if you're able to create own files, you can also flash them with our app. We do not recommend it, if you are not familiar with it" "Hi,you can flash any self-built file, xHP will validate and correct everything necessary!" "Hi,xHP wont allow you to load your own files to any car. You cant use our Flashtool as your personal flasher for your own files. " |

While prepping a file for csdindf I noticed something I missed a long time ago. The stock E90 and E60 shiftmaps in D (E & XE) mode look horrible.
Maps are a little hard to read but the throttle input between 75% an 98% is essentially flat. Nothing subtle about the shift request between these settings. IMHO, should have a value in between around 86%. Y Axis is throttle input in % X axis is gear shift direction starting with 1-2,2-1,2-3,3-2,3-4,4-3 etc. Map data is tail shaft output. Multiply by gear reduction to get rough idea of the RPM. Remember tail shaft RPM is controlled by active gear and Torque converter. Also notice the non linear Y map, 75% then 77%. I found this in several calibration files, so it's intentional. |

Try this, You'll need to upload this file into your Bimmerlabs account and then have it process the file into a flashable 0DA file.
BTW, thanks the Diesel version of the GKE211 looks interesting. |

Hi Rjahl, I really appreciate and admire the work you've put in into this project.
I was wondering if you would be able to change the shiftpoints in the map of my E91 320D. Gearbox aims to achieve the 6th gear asap and stay there at any cost which in combination with laggy Mitsubishi turbo in M47 engines makes the car very unpleasent to drive. I was trying to modify the file myself but I just can't figure it out as I'm complete newbie. What I want to achieve is for the car to downshift as soon as the RPM's drop below 2000. Thank you for what you've done so far and I'm looking forward to your reply ![]() |

I'm not sure I fully understand your request. To alter this shift maps you need to decide on the specific map you are looking to change X (D), XE ( D+), S (S) etc. Not too hard to some are duplicated and I just usually modify both.
Understanding the target RPMs requires a spread sheet. You need to convert output shaft RPM to an approximate engine RPM by using the gear ratio for the gear you are using. Remember the Torque Converter plays a role and upshift are "triggered" a little early. Also It take time for the transmission to shift, so the target value is a little lower than the actual shift point. This is more pronounced in the lower gears where engine RPMs build quicker |

I'll try to answer as best as I can.
I'm mainly interested in X (D), XE ( D+) maps as I find the Sport mode almost perfect shift point wise. It would be great if we could just copy shift points from the S map and lower them a bit. I find that in the sport mode transmission will wait to about 2500rpm before upshifting and while it's totaly fine in lower speeds, it can get pretty annoying while cruising 60MPH in 4th gear. Also, if we could speed up the shifts a little bit, that would be great too ![]() |
