Keep us posted Nicola...If you can't make it, can you let me know by Friday evening, as I'll have to ring the pub and update the food order, otherwise they'll charge.

Yes the MR2 has gone To be honest though I made £700 I wish I hadn't sold it.

I don't have a car until I buy one, can't use my mums Landy as she needs it, her XK I'm only insured 3rd party through my insurance on (for obv. reasons she won't just lend me the car) and her old Alfas are in bits waiting for her to put 'em back together!

Hate, hate, hate no car only been an afternoon but am rather confident about tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Yeah I've done well for selling it in one way rather pleased but when you've either had or don't like what you are looking at it doesn't make any sense really!

Currently looks like yet another MGB, an MX5 (again), looked at Subaru and Mitsi Evo but the prices for insurance are stupid, a 944 (again) or thinking of a LR or 3 Series (again)!

I like Evo's but the 4k oil service is nuts!

You're going to have a lovely shiny (wet is the phrase according to my detailer) car. Washing mine this-afty. I'm trying to be optimistic about the weather for tomorrow.

No problem mate.

I am leaving work with a mate who has a nice E36 316 M3 replica (mag featured a couple of times) and him, me and a mate will have a crack - hoping between us it should only be a couple of hours.

I will try to get pics.

Cant see my car being anything other than wash/waxed by the Hand Car was nearby - my house is only nearly complete - I have no water in the garage yet to wash it myself!

I HAVE INSPIRATION!

Thinking MX5 (yes, yes hear me out!) way under budget, seen loads of bits on buy it now on ebay for it (if I buy it now I've got to do it, right?), sort out interior, dodgy alloys, lower it (do think MXs are dreadfully high), bolt in a proper roll bar (hard dog). Set to work on engine (endless possibilities) = great fast road / trackday car!

So all in all looks like I may (depending on what I see this afternoon) be turning up in an MX5, probably not a great one at that...

My missus just wants me to confirm that she is welcome along and that other partners are coming along if poss?

Just so you know, I have a house valuation in Skipton which can be anytime in the afternoon really - its my house I inherited off my gran so I thought I would kill two birds as I am over that way.

I dont know whether I will just head off after Grassington or whatever, but regardless, I will be there for the chat at the start, the drive out to the pub, and the lunch etc and may even catch you guys up if the job is done quickly.
