all it does is change the maps. The dealership can take your car out for a drive and say "oh its much faster than stock so lets void his warranty". The computer can't detect it unless they go in with the same software and look at the map, which will run a dealership about $500 in labor so its a waste of their time... they're not gonna void your warranty from it. If they ask, just say you have Dinan and then they'll dismiss it as something COVERED under warranty.

my issue is with the scenario of, my car is on the side of the road and I need it towed. When you get towed in to the dealer, they wont do warranty work for you if they plug it in and theres a software error due to the flash...and if you tell them its dinan, theyll send you to them, and when you get there, theyll laugh @ u id like this flash to be invisible, but I'm not sure thats possible, but would love to see it happen that way ![]()

you could always have the car towed to your house and take everything off, then bring it to the dealer. thats what i plan on doing if something goes wrong

So why not go with JB3? PNP, easy install, good gains. Just wondering your thoughts on this.

You have. I called him and spoke with him earlier today. All sounds good, but would definitely like to know how "invisible" it is. Having to drive up to Chicago before I go to the dealer is not ideal.

Elephant, not Hippo.
Hippo feces > dinan > elephant feces > proced > jb3

advantages to jb3:
multiple maps pnp - easy to take out proven thru many people disadvantages to jb3 expensive still need a bt tool to clear all the codes when you take it out still need to take it out prior to a dealer advantages to a flash free upgrades cheaper potentally no need to reflash before you go to the dealer very close to me (hahah) disadvantages to flash no way to change between maps without buying different software not as proven as jb3 but seems to be gaining popularity thats all i can think of off of the top of my head. we'll see

If you buy stage 1, you get 2 and 3 whenever your car can support them. This being said, I think if you got the hand flash tool that Tony is working on you could easily change between maps without any extra cost (not counting the cost of the hand flash tool which is going to be around $700-$800 per Tony)

They way Tony was talking today you should be able to with their hand flash tool. They are working on fine tuning it now and adding the capability to read codes like the BT currently does.

advantages to a procede v3 -multiple maps -pnp -proven -free updates via usb cable in your glove box and internet for life of unit -built in code clearing/reading a la bt tool -in dash boost guage disadvantages to a procede v3 -still need to take out before dealer visit -expensive relative to jb3, but then again, you get a boost guage/bt tool all in one....so maybe not so expensive anymore ; and compared to flash, if you have to pay 7-800 for a personal flash tool...well...not expensive vs that either

truth. procede is a good buy, but is probably the most complicated as far as installation and removal.
doesn't bother me. In addition you still have to buy a BT tool with that as well
