thanks, this definitely confirms what piece needs to be cut.

im just hoping nwo that i can access it without having to take the unit out. thanks for also clarifying the bulb location. i went back to the ownser guide for the e90 prior to you posting and it made more sense on how to access the bulb replacement.

do you think that plastic piece can be broken off with my own fingers?

I purchased the new kit and am wondering the same thing as some of the others.

What is that piece you are snipping? What if I decide to sell my car and part out my Lux H8? Will snipping the part screw up something when I put the old H8 halogen back in?

I drive a 12/06 made "07" e92. I have read on this forum that there are problems with Lux H8's and the earlier 07's. Does anybody know what the issues are/is there a fix?
I would luv to have the Luxes but definately don't want error message issues.

Woohoo, got mine installed. Everything was plug n play and the only PITA is how small and cramped the area is. Could barely fit your hand inside it. And i took a risk in buying this in regards to the error code because my car is a pre-march 2007 build. And guess what, no error code!!! ...BUT, i did have a warranty issue done last month, where the dealer changes my whole computer module and i guess i got the updated 2009 version, which might and might not have explain why i din't get the error code. Anyways, here are some quick pics i took in the garage. They look gorgeous:

I installed the LUX H8s this morning.

These pictures were taken at 11AM on a slightly overcast day in Northern NJ.

The first picture is of my 7500K GP Thunders. The next picture is with one GP Thunder and one LUX H8. The last one is with both LUX H8s.

I underexposed (-1) the second picture to try to show the difference in brightness. The last picture is a normal exposure.

Installed mine this afternoon as well. I actually think the driver's side was easier than the passenger's side. My gf helped with the pass. side..hehe.

OK, so about 30 minutes into my drive today after I install the LUX H8s, I got an error and the Angel Eyes won't turn on.

I just got home right now and it's dark so I haven't had a chance to do a post mortem but I'm not happy. I don't know when I'll be able to do it since I get home somewhat late.
