The foam inserts aren't supposed to be required for the upgrade but if increased wind noise is an issue they do help, sorry to anyone for whom this has caused any inconvenience. And yes, I would now recommend anyone with a Saloon or a Touring to have these installed as a precaution.

Vincent, have you booked in now? One side of the foam inserts is on back order so we will have to re-check their availability 1-2 days before your booking date, if they're readily available we will be able to install them on the day.

i'm so glad it's not just me with some extra wind noise!

are these an easy self install or best let a dealer do it?

if you mean feedback on the kit - it's well worth it, sounds completly different now and can actually handle some volume without distortion.. only problem is if you download a lot of the internet and the music quality isnt great you'll now notice it as the speakers are so damn clear!

great upgrade

Depends on how comfortable you are taking the trim off the door and if you have any trim tools. Also it's easier on an E92 than an E90, so it all depends. If you are not sure then let Anneka sort you out.

Have a look at the video in this link. It's pretty good at showing exactly what you need to do on an E92. After doing this many times, it takes me around 15 mins per side to pop the panel off and back on again, however I would advice that you take your time if you give it a go.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=196

You can then make up your mind if you are comfortable doing this yourself.

oh yes! i am no mug

waived loan car fee for the day, and the guy is going to strip out my interior trim while hes doing the job so i can get it wrapped with carbon.. been meaning to get it done for aaaaages.. they were initially going to charge 1/2 hr labour for that. didn't feel comfortable ripping my own car apart..

so, all in all, i'm fine with that

Anneka ... I need your assistance. I am one of the unlucky Americans that can't order these ... BUT ... I will be in London in about 2-3 weeks (Hatfield specifically) and they will be for personal use\export\souvenier so no VAT

Can you help me out ? Oh, and no install as I'm guessing transport would be a bit on the cost prohibitive side

Hi Mike, the post 09 kits are in stock, can you PM me with the last 7 digits of your vin, I'll check that this is suitable for your car.
It will need coding by a BMW dealer once fitted so you might need to sort this out with a dealer at home.

I can't pm yet ... I'm too new

I thought the beauty of this kit was no coding ... but I can get that done with no worries. In the states, BMW budget cut us ... we get the base 6 speaker now unless we pay to play ... and I didn't pay. So I have the base 6 speaker ... 2 door, 2 rear, 2 under the seat ... how can I call you ?

They're in stock now according to the parts system, but High Wycombe haven't called to say that they're arrived at the dealership yet.

The order was placed before they came into stock so they are probably still in transit from AG. I will confirm when they have arrived.
