Now you just have to hope that James can get the HID fogs to work.

I'm ready to return mine (but James is ignoreing my AIM) for something that's been 'confirmed' working on more than 1 E90.. and that's with engine running, driving around. Not sitting on jacks and engine not running.

Right now I'm looking at either the Xtreme HID (one member confirmed working here) and Mtec HID (not knock-offs, longtran confirmed working on his E90, error go away after 30sec).

i think youyou has a e92, and everyone so far with e92s have been fine, only e90's are having error issues

Ya i called them...
From the looks of it he wasn't able to ship them out today...
I sent the payment at around 2:30 and i think the Fedex cut off time is 3pm.
And from the looks of it the guy seemed pretty busy...
So they should be shipped out tomorrow...

Hi James,

After 3 weeks of waiting for a fix, I'm ready for my refund. Please send me prepaid return shipping slip. It's too bad it didn't work out. I really wanted them to work.

Thanks

Ok well i installed everything today.
So let's start with the 6000k d1s headlight bulbs...
Love them, they look great and install was a breeze. Color is way way way nicer then stock. It gives the car a more exotic look.
6000k Hid foglights...
This one wasn't as easy as the bulbs. So after installing it i light the car up and right away i receive an error. The fog kept flickering and the error message was on. So called James up... He clearly is very busy, so i wa told he would call me back within the next 15 minutes... 10 minutes later i get a call from James. He said that we should try and reconnect the original fog , light it up , turn the car off and then try reinstalling the Hid fog.
So we tried that and ...................... error message again...
So my guy said he had an idea since he's worked on a few bmw's and has seen this issue more then once.
He hooked up a capacitor to the the Hid "system" and asked meto light my car up...
Lit the car up and no error message was there... So we found the solution , sort of...
My guy guaranteed me the fog will not flicker anymore but the error message might pop up every now and then...
Anyhow we proceeded into doing the other side . All went well... We must of turned the fogs on and off at least 100 times in every position and no error poped up...
I left went home and then went out again... No error... On my way back home i lit the car up and the error message came on for about 5 seconds and went away. Got home turned the car off and on again and no error...
So end of story i'm satisfied with the end result. If i end up getting an error message that pops up for 5 seconds and then completely goes away , every now and then , i'm really not concerned.
But it ended up costing me a little more then expected since i had to cough up the $$ for the capacitor ...

Youyou, thanks for the review. What kind of capacitor is needed and how much does it cost?
When it tried installing HID in my foglights it turned on but I got an error message and they were shut off automatically after 15-20 seconds.
I hope the capacitor will fix that.

Hey Ced,
Honestly i have no idea what kind of capacitor was used... All i know is that it solved the problem of the lights flickering and after that they came on perfectly...
I think it was something like 80$... He gave me a package price for the install and the capacitors...

I'd take some pictures for you IF they stay on in the street.. these turn off before I can make it out of the driveway in my E90.

I was thinking the same but then MDS's Mtec never worked proper.. with so many fakes out there, I didn't want to take more chances.. End up ordering Xtreme brand HID from other thread. I posted link earlier in this thread.
