Well, i'm still waiting for mine to be addressed. Whether it expands or not, its still short. I have videos of me revving the car after its fully warmed up and you can clearly see that its short on my coupe. I know that CP-E has PM'd me about two weeks ago telling me that they had a fix in the works, but I haven't heard from them since. I'm still waiting on posting up videos of the exhaust with a review until we resolve this.

Don't misinterpret what I said. I'm not flaming you in any way nor am I calling you a liar. All I said is that the angles between the two pics were off (you can tell if you visually look at the differences between some of the bumper distances), and that I stood corrected when I stated that the exhaust wouldn't expand that much.

I like that system too, and would have bought that one if I hadn't decided on the Eisenmann.

Hey guys, thanks for bearing with us while the shop was closed for the holidays! Today is the first day back into the swing of things and we're anxious to fix this fittment issue. Many thanks go out to our customers who put their faith in our small company and our products.

As we said before, this issue will of course be covered under warranty. So what now?!?

Apparently the coupe x-pipes were not cut correctly at our shop, and we've since remedied the problem. Please send us only your x-pipe, we'll modify them, and send them back the next day. No special boxes or packing materials are needed. Wrap the x-pipe in bubble wrap and some cardboard, put it in an appropriately sized box, and send it to:

Custom Performance Engineering
6802 Mid Cities Avenue
Beltsville, MD. 20878

Also please include your name, phone number, and return mailing address in the package.

Again, if you have a coupe and you are not satisfied with the positioning of the cp-e exhaust tips, please send just your x-pipe back to cp-e. If you have any other questions please call the company owner Josh Adams directly on his personal cell phone: 410-703-9365. Thanks again, and we'll get your coupe where you need to be just as quickly as we possibly can

Do you guys have any exhausts ready to ship right now? Also, any pics yet of the coupe with the new x-pipe?

I just spoke to Josh at CP-E (very cool guy btw), and I think that they have one more exhaust in stock. I should have my modified xpipe sent back to me in the next few days. I'll post up pics as soon as I receive it, but i'm pretty confident that it will be dead on since the rest of the exhaust fits great. CP-E's customer service has been top notch so far.

So are any newly purchased CP-E Exhausts being sent with the "correct" xpipe?

Please PM me the current price, if you wouldn't mind, Jordan. Thanks.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you all know that we do have one more catback in stock at the $1199 intro price. This will be the last unit that we have until our next production run, but we don't yet have a date as to when the next run will begin. So if you want one, now's the time!

The coupe fittment issue has been corrected, and one of our customers has verified this for us. We don't have a coupe here at the shop so I can't snag any pictures, but I'll see if I can't get some from one of our customers.

I wanted to update this thread to let all coupe owners know that the tip length issue has been addressed, and I am happy to report that my exhaust now fits perfect with the modified X-Pipe. I also would like to thank Jordan and Josh for all of their help and assistance in helping me resolve this issue. Their customer support has been nothing short of top notch and I would certainly buy other products from CP-E in the future, as well as recommend them to other 335 owners. Thanks again for the excellent customer service and great sounding exhaust.

Hey there, unfortunately we don't know if our exhaust fits an E93 only because we haven't had a vehicle to try it on. We have a couple options though. If someone can post a good picture of the underside of the E93 then we should be able to get a good idea as to whether or not our system will work.

Alternatively, if anyone in the area wants to try to let us install the exhaust we'll waive the installation fee. In other words, if the exhaust ends up fitting then you'll pay the $1199 for the catback, and we'll waive the installation charges in return for your time/help. If it doesn't fit then we'll remove the exhaust from the car and you lose nothing but your time and gas money.

If anyone is interested in doing that please give us a call or shoot me a PM and we'll work out a date/time.

Sure thing. The guys are working with our Standback engine management system on a 335i now, and I can snag the car for a few minutes to grab some quick sound clips. In fact, they're finished with the car at the moment so I'll take it out now and try to get the sounds you're interested in. Be right back!

Yeah I really want the exhaust, can you inquire about it through via some BMW techs to see if the undercarriage is the same...I am really interested in your exhaust....Hopefully you can find some information about it or vice a versa...I want to pull the trigger and get your last remaining one but I need to know for sure about the fitment....Please if you could try to get some information a.s.a.p before your last one is sold and i have to wait for the next batch!!

Here's what i found out from Ryan@Eisenhaus:
The only difference between the E92 and E93 335i exhaust system is the rear support crossbars on the E93. All aftermarket companies will have to redesign their cat-back pipes in order to clear the crossbars.

E93

There was a picture but I didn't know how to copy it...If you can go to the: NA engine Exhaust Modification Forum and under the thread "Which exhaust to buy" last post there is a clear picture of the undercarriage of a E93!

I was just comparing the pics with the one from your website and the difference is indeed the crossbars...But from the looks of it, the pipes look like they have enough clearance to go through it...What do u think??

First off, thank you very much for linking me to pictures. As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words!

I'm sorry to say however that it doesn't look like our exhaust system is going to clear those braces in its current form. So we'd have to re-design it in order to make it work in a E93. I'm really sorry

I did however grab a video clip. The car had a CEL because we are presently using it for Standback development (boost control is tricky, go figure, hah!), but I was at least able to get the car out onto the road to grab some clips of the sound cruising between 1500-2500rpm. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get more detailed clips at other engine speeds, but this isn't our vehicle and I'd prefer not to disrespect the owner by going on long drives with his car. But the clip is below:

I hope that helps give people an idea as to how much (or how little) drone there is with our catback. And cn555ic, I'm very sorry again that our exhaust system won't work in your application.

If i wanted all i had to do is just change the rear pipes going to the exhaust, but from the picture it looks at though the pipes can go underneath the crossbars, the only problem is that it might be metal to metal contact...I just wish you had a person that can try that exhaust and see indeed if it fits...Pictures does help, but there might be a chance it can clear the crossbars...If you have by any chance someone to take your offer and let you guys do a free install on a E93 to see if it works, it would be great...I just love the way the car sounds from your video...Its making me just want to order it anyway and try to fabricate or customize it to make it work!!! Thanks

Well, I'm bummed to hear that you like the sound of the exhaust but aren't able to run it!

We're absolutely open to trying to fit the exhaust to a 335xi, but from the pictrure you linked me to it just doesn't look like it'll work. So if anyone in the Maryland area wants to give it a shot they're welcome to arrange a time with us for a test fittment.
