Strange stuff, I flash some option via MHD for my tune, and the ABS light went off, but still have 4x4 error.

On jack stand all 4 wheels are rolling...

EDIT

Just remind me , if alignment is off, I will have a code , I had this issue in the past because I hit a pot hole.

Now, Ive just droped the car, 90% sure this is the issue.

Ive planned a appointment already next week, we'll see !

I had a dream about it yesterday, and pretty sure this is it : The steering wheel is not clocked at the right angle. I should have tape the wheel before removing the steering shaft.

Finally got around to a bunch of work I was putting off...replaced the oil pan gasket, did the water pump and thermostat with some coolant hoses/flush while I was there, along with engine and transmission mounts. And of course, a fresh oil change.

Looks great!

I finished retrofitting the 3-stage intake manifold, along with a preventative starter replacement while I was in there.

Coded to 330i tune using Bimmerlabs and car feels awesome!

Finished the oil pan gasket job. Man, what a weekend.

Car runs but I broke the outer oil pump chain guide nub while dropping the pan. Had the hood fall down on the support bar because of wind and slightly weak struts (put a bump in the hood, left spider paint crack and I HAD replacements!) also found remains of BMW connector clips stuck up inside my oil pickup so it was certainly eventful.

Got stuck on the pan for a day and a half until I peered up into oil sensor port and finally noticed it was part of the damn crank that was in the way.

Hello...hello again

Cars... Been gone a long time. Months. Came back after being gone a spell, pulled car cover off. It looked the same. Still stand-offish attitude. "F you, but whatever". Had put a piece of cardboard underneath it when I left as a test. Surprisingly, not too many oil dribbles. Started it up and let it idle a while, give it a chance to wake up.

20 minutes later, we are topless and oil temp is around 240F and we are doing easy laps though some back roads. Enjoyable. You're just what I needed...

I’ve been recouping from a small surgery (nothing serious deviated septum’s and some sinus clean up) and have been away for a bit.

Quick update on the car I have the wheels swapped over and the car is much smoother. I’ll be swapping out the axle as soon as I’m allowed to by the doctor lol I think that’s the last piece of the puzzle to having a very smooth ride.

Here’s the most recent pic of her

Swapped out my Xenon bulbs because one went out on me!

Was able to replace both without removing the wheel or their fender liners because I don’t have a jack! Passenger side just took a turning of the wheel to the left, driver side involved removing the air intake box / hose. Acceded both bulbs through the “access hole” in the fender liners.

For a non-mechanic I’m proud. Struggled last time when replacing air filter but used a hair dryer and getting the hose back on this time around was easy!

Anyways, cheers and happy late Easter y’all. Take care

I ran 2 sets, nothing wrong to say. Very well balanced for the price.

Now , the Falken are the same price, and they seems to get better review, but they are less popular, so not much info.

EDIT , went with falken, reviews are great, my other car got indy ( I want to compare) and I like the 'sleeper' look. They look like any cheap 4 season. Which fits my car. I have a stock look e91 with big T.

I read many good things about the Firehawks. A few years ago they were incredible tires for the price, but now the price has increased significantly to the point where there are many other tire options available. I considered these when tire shopping a few months ago but Michelin PS4s were only $150 more for the full set so I went with those instead. 6000 miles later and it's time to start thinking about replacements in a few months... and that's not even driving aggressively. I swapped them over to my 330, maybe they'll last longer there.

Now you got me looking at tires... Kumho Ecsta PS91 look good for a max performance tire, but I value treadwear longevity over peak performance these days so I'll likely go with an all season with a firmer compound that lasts longer.

once again , here we get screwed with tires.

on 265 R18 , (but the same $ ratio for all the sizes).

Falken : 315$ cad / tire
indy 500 : 325$ cad / tire
PS4 : 509$ cad / tire

add 15% taxes over that.

No experience with either model, but I think generally Falken makes great tires. On two of our cars. Kind of my go-to unless a good deal of Michelin or Conti.

I have the Indy 500's (2 sets over the years). Great "bang for the
buck " tire. No issues and the look good too.

I cancelled my five month old order for VMR V703's, the backorder was extended till June. I like the CSL look so I'll be looking for an alternative, unfortunately the APEX ARC8 is also on backorder.
