However, this time it wont go away. Ill do the alignment and if it's still there, Ill dig more. I already had this issue with a very bad alignment back in the days. But the car was barely drivable, now it's very straight... |

Now possible to do some maintenance without getting rained on constantly in the UK! So after 6 months of having the parts + crap weather more or less, the wife and I got our maintenance hats on today and done:
- New rear rotors, dimpled and slotted with a nice black anti-rust coating. Quite pleased with the look! Got to try out my new rotor puller, as even my big nasty 3lb sledge hammer wasn't getting those rotors off! Worked beautifully, not cheap, but sure ill get a few more uses out of it in the future years to come. - New mintex pads. - Did go to change handbrake shoes, but they didn't need it with plenty of meat left on them, and had ordered wrong shoes anyways (biggest driving factor lol). Installed new spring pack I got and left it at that. And adjusted. - New wheel speed sensors both rear sides to cure the intermittent Christmas tree dash, which it has done nicely! - New brake wear sensor for good measure. - Also unseized the safety bonnet latch with wd40 penetrant, brilliant stuff, you could literally feel it start get gritty as the rust disintegrated, then freed up beautifully. Like new now. - And finally, happened to see an old school friend while changing the rotors, who is a locksmith by trade. I now have a second key to my car with the key cut and coded! Lost my allen key set which made the job take many more hours searching for it; eventually found it under the sofa, no idea how it got there... blame the kids! New rocker cover from autodoc on its way as my next job! Last edited by evensis; 04-21-2024 at 06:40 PM.. |

Converted the e91 L7 door speakers and center speaker to f30 hifi door speakers and center speaker.
For anyone who wants to do this, Rears fit but can’t be bolted in, as there isn’t enough thread on the studs projecting, I glued them in with e6000. Front had barely just enough thread to get the nut back on it. Center is drop in as are front door tweeters. Rear L7 tweeters were left in situ but left disconnected. End result, better sound. Doesn’t have that sort of harshness that metal cones seem to have to me, the soundstage seems wider and bass is upfront. Sound is cleaner IMO, which is exactly why I did this as I had enjoyed them in my f31.

The wagon did a thing.
325xi MT. I've calibrated the mpg-o-meter so it's pretty close too.

quick one.
Do someone knows what the F is the strategy behind sending : '' Hi, is this still available ? '' on market place and NEVER reply back !?!? drunk? robot? fcktards? I mean I get if they continuing the convo to fraud you, but they simply not answering. > yes I know, more and more people stating in their ads : ''if you send me a automatic reply, I dont answer you'' But I still wish there's some hope. 37 message for my ad (selling the a Cayenne), 100% of people sending me automatic reply, NEVER answered me back. This is a solid stats. And fun fact : only happen on general item : car , appliances. But not on specific parts like E90 parts, PC parts, etc. |

Did the right front axle and front brakes and rotors. Still feel something on the front right side of the vehicle and just learned motor mounts could do that and I know the motor mounts are on their way out if not totally shot so that will be the next thing to do. Yesterday I gave her a wash and took the obligatory photo.

How about they ask questions, negotiate a price, then ghost you when you ask “where are you located?” so you can find a safe place to meet?

My brother bought a 335d from a forum member a few weeks ago. Incredible car in every sense, Alpine white with saddle dakota interior, M-sport package, comfort access, cold weather package, premium package, etc.
I finally got the chance to drive it this past weekend and I love this thing, has me thinking of getting one for myself now. No manual like my 330 but as a sporty yet comfortable car to drive everywhere ever day this is excellent, close to 40MPG too! The emissions stuff is all intact except the EGR blockoff, and it's all working fine. I believe the DEF/SCR tank was already replaced under warranty at some point. As for the subject of this post, I did some coding for him. Coded out the seatbelt warning chimes, idrive disclaimer, uncorrected speed on the KOMBI, foglights on with highbeams and low beams, disabled headlight washers, and a few other minor things. We also flashed the transmission with xHP and it significantly improved the driving experience. I'm definitely a MT person, but these ZF6 autos really aren't bad for an automatic. I also drove the car a bunch. Going 55MPH stomping the gas pedal and breaking traction is fun. |

Oh me too, believe me. My brother lives on the other coast and when I saw this car for sale I was drooling over it. BUT I already have TWO and can't justify another, so I told him to go look at it.
It turns out the seller lived less than an hour away from him. So glad it worked out, he's thrilled. The car is incredible, the color combo, and that freaking engine. I absolutely LOVE that engine in this chassis, the driving experience is unreal. I've always been a fan of diesels even the small economy ones, because I love that low RPM torque. This thing is more fun to drive than my 335i gasser. 335i is fast and fun to rev out, but this M57 is more my style. I'm thinking about swapping my cars around to end up with a 335i E93 6MT and a E90 335d. Or keep my 335i and trade my 330i for a E90 335d and do a manual swap... but I love the N52/6MT combo, and the 330i is special. |

Decisions, decisions, decisions... I've been tempted by diesels, but they seem like every part that can break, breaks. The $$$ you save in fuel goes into maintenance! |

I'm not afraid of parts, theyre fairly robust. BUT I never pursued one seriously in CA because of the emissions equipment. The SCR system and DEF tank is prone to failure and is around $3000 or more just for the parts. Same with the DPF. However his is running perfectly fine with all that stuff intact. Close friend of mine was offering to sell his to me as a favor for $9500 and it had 80K miles, but the emissions stuff was original and I didn't want an auto at the time. If I test drove that car it might have been a different story. It didn't have the m-sport package and didn't look as nice as this one either.

A/C service
Had the A/C system drained and purged in the green car. Vacuum pumped it for about 30 minutes and filled it back up. Shop reports it only had 6 oz of refrigerant left in it, no wonder it took a bit to blow cold. I guess the stuff does boil off after 17 years!
Also put new boost solenoids in the grey car and swapped the old ones to the green car. Will test later if I get 30FF still. |

Same happened to mine, also noticed the AC compressor had a small whine and was taking a bit to cool down the car. Huge improvement after the shop did a full evac and fill!
