Mod 81 - Visual Ice E92 sub woofer box

Finally got around to getting a proper sub box for the E92, instead off running around with the sub strapped to the back seat with ocky straps lol

This sub box was built and supplied by Visual Ice in the UK. It is a resin coated fiber glass case, molded to fit around the wheel arch in the E92 boot.

Build quality and fitment are excellent From time of ordering, it was built, shipped and arrived at my door in under a week amazing !!!

Install took less then an hour

Fits great, sounds nice and now have boot space back WIN

Pics below

Pic 1 - Temp set up using ocky straps
Pics 2 & 3 - Visual Ice E92 sub box
Pics 4 & 5 - Install in progress
Pics 6 to 8 - Installed

Haha @ your previous sub setup!

The new sub box looks a million times better!

Is the volume of the box designed for that sub? How much did it cost you?

Did you notice any SQ difference? Firing into the rear seat is not ideal from a SQ perspective.

Oh BTW did you get the shell oil odor out of your boot?

Why would you, shell oil smells like heaven

Pretty sick woofer box!!

Why not just make your whole boot the box?
And stick some massive subs on your back seat

Hey DrJ
Yes oil in boot all gone
Box is sealed (not ported) and has acoustic dampening material applied to the back. Doubt volume is matched to speaker though as it is designed to take a variety of 10" to 12" subs. Sounds fine to my amateur ears lol Even with it side firing, the bass is solid (although from my research it doesn't matter "too much" which direction you fire in with subs)... $280 delivered which is amazing imo

It's due to the studs phil.

I just dabbed some waterproof grease in the end of the nut recess.

Since then no issues

I'll take one, then I'll take another as a spare, then I'll have another for my collection, and throw another one in so I can leave something for my descendants
