yeah , you remove a lot of potential point of failure. Starting by the single bank fueling. then waste gates, boost solenoids, vacuum leaks, etc.

I have no check engine, engine running strong, but I had a funny log, that I think I figured out, but can't go doing an other pull to confirm.

So I had :

- ecu boost target : 15psi (what I required on my custom map)
- boost target : 22.6 psi ( I believe is the offset from my wastegate adaptation, it was at 150. I removed adaptation, put 90 %, will see if the target is bit lower than 15psi around 13.5))
- actual boost : 21 psi ( safety TB closure)

My butt dyno was impressed by the power for only 15psi, to realize I have more than that. Felt like a 500bhp car.

oh, and meth works , from 86°F to 69°F underboost

Need to figure out the low ful pressure sensor, I dont have any reading and this is what Im chasing : if I need a LPFP upgrade.

Ive changed the sensor and no luck, still a ghost code and no reading...

We're nearly up to 390k... and the poor wagon decided to downgrade (upgrade?) itself to 2wd.

I'll scan it another day, it's summer. Don't need 4wd anyway. It's just 4x4 that's out. DSC and ABS all seem to be working normally.

Time to replace it. There are just too many minor to moderate maintenance and repair things. I'm short on bandwidth to deal with them, and I'm not sure it's wise to continue putting money and time into it.

reset via ISTA. i think its called ''tc oil change''.

if the TC is out, use xdelete to keep abs and safety feature.

Here you go! Not my car, a family member’s, but God does it drive well!
997.2 launch edition car. Aqua blue/gray, PDK. Daily driven in a 110 mile commute, just had an entirely new PASM (EDC) suspension installed, along with a rear main seal and PDK service. Phenomenal car to drive, but not inexpensive to service. 107K miles.

(BTW, this is an older pic. The garage ceiling has since been fixed…)

Thanks, I just don't want to deal with it this weekend. Lost my trailer brakes yesterday so that takes priority. It's fine in 2wd except for the giant error message on the screen.

Kinda decided that this is the end. I need to replace it. It needs a front axle, a rear wheel bearing. The sunroof is acting up, cat's are fouled. Front left has a either a bad ball joint or bad strut rod bush, front shock mounts are sloppy and the shocks are worn out... Now either the TC actuator went, or I smoked the TC. It leaks everything, burns a quart every 2,500. That's in addition to 100 other things that are worn out, but still 'good enough'

All that said, it's still an awesome car. It drives great and the engine sings like a German sewing machine. Not so much as a lifter tick.

Unless I talk myself into making in a crap can enduro car (and I spotted a 330xi in WV that'd make a great drivetrain donor car).... I'll put it up for sale cheap. The shell is excellent. It would make an awesome LS or N54/N55 monster.

I just finished about eight hours of detailing the car, wash, clay bar, compound, polish and ceramic coat. It looks great but we'll see how it looks tomorrow when I take a couple pictures. Enjoy your evening.

Replaced the water pump & tstat along with a few hoses. First e90 water pump I've done, pretty straight forward and quick. I've done a few in the e36/e38/e46 world as well as old domestics, I enjoyed not having to remove the fan, belt and other items that normally come with a water pump job. Let the sway bar down, couple hoses, few bolts and boom she's out!

Replaced original shocks (119k miles) with Koni SA reds and new front/rear shock mounts and bumpstops. Huge improvement in ride comfort. Used OEM bump stops in front and Z4 ones in the rear which are a tad shorter and add more travel.

I had an alignment done on my 2010 E91 in December and they did not recenter the steering wheel - I've been driving with it at about 11 o'clock since. I plan to do a full refresh of all control arms and the tie rods and have all the parts, just haven't had the time to get to it and won't for a few weeks. But the off-center wheel was driving me crazy so today I decided to try to re-center it myself. I fought with the tie-rods but they are seized tight. I'm going to replace them soon anyway so I decided not to spend a lot of time trying to free them up. But, frustrating. Hoping this will motivate me to make the time for the suspension refresh.

Installed https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMkPr8A but had to modify it slightly to fit since the inner diameter needs to be a bit wider.

Looks really nice for a fraction of the cost of the OE performance handle yet still looks very OE. Looks good along with my OE performance shifter.

Also washed and polished it.

(E82 content which relates to e90 at the end of the post) Yup that’s my intake blowing bubbles. It was leaking from here before and it was repaired. Boosts great down low but is 3lbs under boost at the top and WGDC is pegged at 99. So this weekend I decided to do some more digging and found this.

Charge pipe is now at a welding shop getting it properly fixed as a last resort before purchasing a new one. At this point I said to myself might as well as get the motor mounts done too and had to drop the subframe for the passenger side.

Which leads me to a question. Is the drive easier to do the mounts on? I feel like the drive subframe gives more room? My motor mounts are pretty shot on the 335 and I’m wondering if it will be the same nightmare.

Took a few days off work to make it a 5 day weekend, plenty of time to finally do the oil pan gasket on the green car.

Only small issue was one of the old oil pan bolts was broken right at the mating surface. I don't think I did it, as I was removing them by hand. Had to drill into the stump and reverse it out. Very pleased with the results, pan was normal with no surprises lurking, pickup tube was clean as a whistle. Also did motor mounts and transmission mounts while I had the subframe dropped. The slight rubbing noise I had on left turns is gone now.

As promised, I shot a picture of the car after my day of detailing, I think the original paint looks as good as the new paint.

Considering tackling a trim unwrap and start button swap today.

Other than that, nothing. Just thought she looked good

Edit: aluminum trim underneath is trashed. getting sick of the fake carbon look. I'm pretty limited on options due to the excessive pitting underneath. Considering black or a dark gray alcantara. Thoughts, anyone?

I don't care for alcantara or soft surface trim, just my $.02. Maybe try to find some replacement aluminum pieces to replace the ones you have?

I'm typically not a fan either, I just don't feel like shelling out the coin for a "cheap" daily driver on better aluminum trim
