I don't have the time for this challenge right now. I do this for fun and I already have too many projects on my table. |

Hello rjahl,
I understand, is also o.k and believe that you have to do extremely and a lot of projects ;-) I would not like to claim you too, if you could just do me a favor and say which map controls the speed for pressing the last clutch in 5 gear is responsible, and what it could call Would it be too much if someone provided me with a functional framework(Funktionsrahmen= for a 6HPXX.? Am also willing to publish a new project here with reviews that go into the area 5HPXX and make available here! Thus, one or the other of which also a 5HPXX drives my experience can be useful. Kind regards |

For starters, do you have a BIN from your transmission? Can you download a full bin using Dave's reading tool for the 6HP posted earlier in this thread? We could then do a quick check to see if the files structures are similar. There are no Funktionsrahmen available for these gearboxes. We learned through patent applications, observations and testing. I'm still learning. |

TCC maps
Hey folks, sorry I've been offline for a while due to crazy amounts of work. However, now that I have an X5 35d and it desperately needs TCU tuning, I'm trying to learn TunerPro and the associated tables that have been identified in the public XDF. There are several questions that I'll post in separate questions.
This one has been asked before on page 106 but I still can't wrap my (getting older) brain around... Below is a screenshot of the TCC Warm maps for Gears 1 to 4 and the XE2 shift map. The description says: 0: Start of Open -> Closed 2: End of Open -> Closed 3: Start of Closed -> Open 1: End of Closed -> Open @DWR's kind explanation was that these are the boundaries for the the three states A: Open B: Modulated PWM C: Closed So would it be 0:A:2:B:3:C:1? Why would column one in 3rd gear then have lower OSS boundary than column 0? How do the shifpoints from 2>3 and 3>4 fit into the picture? From what I've logged so far is that in 1st gear (D mode) the TCC is always open, in 2nd it starts to close around 15-20mph and in 3rd gear it is always closed. I just fail to see that behavior in the TCC maps. |

Next question: How would I add a conversion formula for the XE map to convert OSS to mph? In the properties of the XDF it references an X, but where is that X defined?
For my 335d that ratio was around 39.38 OSS/MPH but for the X5 that seems to be a bit higher. |

bradsm87 , I tried downloading the latest public XDF from the link you posted but it looks like that file is gone. Which one is the latest and who has it?

Warmup mode. I tried setting the max time in warmup mode to 1 second and speeds to 1mph and it mostly works, but every now and then the X5still goes into warmup mode. Has anyone else experienced that same behavior?

Thanks for the link refresher , but that's the site I visited, got a user account and tried downloading the file. It always sends me to a 404 error page. Should I contact the admins or are you in good contact with them? |

So it is for Open to close: A:0:B:2:C Close to open: C:3:B:1:A? with 0: Start of Open -> Closed 2: End of Open -> Closed 3: Start of Closed -> Open 1: End of Closed -> Open A: Open B: Modulated PWM C: Closed Makes more sense now, but the entries still don't make too much sense. Gotta think some more... |

By the way, have you guys found the manual mode TCC maps yet? on the first gen 6HP19, they are a group of smaller maps located near the main TCC maps. |

It seems to me that determining when each set of TCC maps are used is much like the search for the switch that controls the gear display. That would mean setting all the maps to "zero" for always open TCC. Then lock it up for a specific map set and monitor the conditions under which that it becomes active. |

The Manual TCC maps are actually 1 x 5 maps, groups of four for each gear like the main maps. Tripel x AUFGER Triplel X GERAUF Triplel X GERZU Triplel X ZUGER The manual maps are TripleNT X Aufger and so on. X being the TCC map number. In the GKE211 and GKE 191 these 1 x 5 maps start directly after the last 1 x 9 maps. Don't know about later generations. |
