Yes, I am running the Ecotune pipe. Although mine doesn't fit right and is causing a leak at the turbo flange.
One of these days I will yank it and reweld it....

If yours is anything like mine, the turbo flange is quite thick that the V-clamp does not fit all the way around it. On my pipe, the mid pipe flange is at a wrong angle, and thus when all is put together, the lower flange pulls on the downpipe and because the V-clamp does not hold well and it does not take much to have an exhaust leak. It's nice to have thick flanges, but in this case it is a bad thing, or requires a different v-clamp. See the picture below, the difference between the turbo outlet and downpipe inlet flanges is quite apparent.

This is one of the things Jess and i had discussed earlier before he started the dp's we wanted for the bungs not to be obstacles like the Ecotune Dp has, its unfortunate that STAN although he did a good job on the pipe couldnt come thru to do a revised DP for the rest of you guys. All in ALL Jess's DP is by far the best

I think its pretty safe to say ecotune/rsworx fucked this up big time. From shoddy programming to pipes that dont fit. Sad.

Ah shit JOE dont blow my status here im supposed to say that lol unfortunately Ecotune had a bad RAP so we really cant condone cause there seemed like there was never any feedback from RS. Although tdi kept in touch i feel that ecotune product fell short on the dp and somewhat in their tune which Jarek and BMC aka Lenntech have done to perfect it. I hope Stan can get a US dde to hv it tune property Vinny fron Scungilli racing it was a good tune but to rich on fuel

actually its 1/11, TDI wasnt part of the set of 10. Of the set built after their prototype (TDI's) theyre not doing so hot. Which is quite sad considering his was fine. Isnt the whole point of taking extra time to do one right the first time so that you have a proper jig for doing the rest?

Did Lenny fix your remap so the EGR is off?

Yep. I seem to have gotten different results than a lot of the other guys ... that's too bad.

Other than the EGR not being tuned out I was pretty happy with the Ecotune experience.

I drop down to 11.8 AFR, a bit rich for sure. Still think something went wrong on the RSW side.

It could be taken as a genuine question. If Lenny figured out how to get the EGR to be coded out then that would be helpful to know. As of now it appears only Jarek has figured that out.

Thanks for your input. As i understand me egr was coded but i still plced the plugs from iaknown anyone wanting more info please ask other BMC flashed ecu that are in here. The sad thing here is that as i stated before he got a call from the EPA and ever since that he's kept it quiet unlike Jarek that been able to flourish since i believe has not been harrased by them. By no means im slamming Jarek on the contrary im happy for him and his followers. Trust me if lenny couldn't of gotten rid of the egr i would flown in to meet Jarek and gotten tuned by him.

Way back on post 2233 you posted data showing Lenny did not yet have the EGR coded out. This is exactly how the Ecotune remap functioned for those of us with the North American 335d variant... And here you say (at least I think you say this but it's difficult to follow what you're saying) you had to go with hardware to shut down the EGR.

So I'm still wondering why you put Lenny in the same camp as Jarek? Did he make more progressive on his understanding of the coding that hasn't been posted?

So what I gather from all of these recent EGR posts is that iaknown's plugs saved the day?

Rican, what tdi is getting at is that even though Lenny is telling you the EGR is coded out, the evidence shows otherwise (as long as there hasn't been any updates you haven't told us about). Ecotune told many of us the same thing yet the evidence also showed otherwise.....But at the end of the day, if you're happy with your tune then good for you, it's just that Jarek is the ONLY one that has everything fully figured out and the facts prove it.
