Twins! I had to look closely, scrolling this post I thought someone posted a photo of my car.

I have the same model, same color, same style license plates (with that OEM front bracket). Those look like smoked side marker lights, which I also have. Only differences - no roof rack, no BMWCCA badge, and I have LCI headlights. I have a few less scuffs on the front bumper, though my 335 is a different story.

It's a damn fine car, and good to know it has a sibling out there in the wild! Perfect motor perfect color... Hard to improve upon

Picked up the E90 - they had the transmission pan in stock, what are the odds?

Removed all the soft touch rubbery material from my cup holders and trim. Also tried to make the cup holder a tiny bit quicker and split the slowing gear to see what to do, putting it back together wasn’t smooth as it has a lot less drag now and the cup holder is too fast.

Went to replace the AC service port caps and as I unscrewed one it started leaking a lot, seems the schrader under it is screwed up, explains my dwindling AC efficiency.. now to figure how to replace the schrader without emptying the system.

Finally finished my amp wiring for Stage 1 of my audio upgrade.

I made my own power plug to plug into the factory distribution block, and made my own harness (similar to Technic's) to plug into the factory amp plug.

Next is to swap out the speakers with Individual Audio drivers. Eventually, I'll add an MS-8 to incorporate the center channel and rears, at which point I'll bridge the JL to power the underseat woofers.

I'm calling this the "DIY" takata airbag recall solution.

Cockpit feels so much cleaner now! Love it.

^^ already have all those feature.

Also, ive retrofitted the comfort access, however the chime come from the alarm system. Which I dont have on my car.

Found only 1 thread about a guy tried to retrofit the alarm on a non-prewired car.
All the other thread, early e90s were prewired in US. So the retrofit is very very easy.

EDIT : nerver mind, I'm blind, my car is pre-wired. easy swap.

Thanks. Stock trim on my e92, but it is pretty rare it seems. Never seen another with the same interior as mine.

I refinished the headlights a few days ago and it made a world of difference. Now I'm down to a few smaller projects.

Drove it to grab a 12 pack, along with diagnosing the no audio issue. Seems like the amp blew. If that’s the case it wouldn’t be surprising. I had issues with the electronics. The main culprit was the voltage regulator, I replaced the battery and ground strap as well.

Water damage to the rear amp location is common, so amp may be out. You would see evidence of dried liquid on the casing and in the area.
It could also be a broken fiber-optic loop.

Update on my E91.

1- so yeah Ive melted the valve cover ! The turbo blanket is too thick to fit between the exhaust flange and the valve cover on the single turbo setup.

Nothing jb weld can't fix ! Then I use a crowbar to push hard as I can the blanket to be sure the turbo flange is insulated from the cover. FIXED

2- did a test drive with INPA to see what wheel sensor is bad. At first nothing, had to record the screen, can't keep my eye on the laptop.

Adddd, right front sensor was quickly jumping to 0 and back. very fast.

cleaned the speed sensor : no surprise, no fix.

Ordered a new one.

However, I have a rock auto CV axle on this side, starting to questioning if it can be this...

this is not rare on single turbo setup.

Most people running the manifold and down pipe bare, end up with melting the valve cover.

In my case, the turbo blanket was not set properly, and no way you can see there. Had to try to feel it on my finger tips. Turbo flange is less than 3/4 '' from the valve cover.

one of the biggest down side of top mount turbos; heat management where there was not heat on OEM state.

Yeah very common. Have you looked into adding gold reflective tape to the valve cover? Some guys say it works well to keep it from melting.
