Completed my full PDC retrofit (front and rear) by doing the coding. It's such a relief to hear it beeping and working correctly after many days of hard work that included: 1) personally sourcing some of the required parts from a frontally smashed wreck by disassembling almost half of the wreck; 2) repairing the wiring looms that were torn to pieces; 3) finding extra parking sensors and their sockets online, to replace the smashed ones; 4) disassembling almost half of my car to install all the prepared parts; 5) reassembling my car. It's probably one of the most if not the most involving retrofit for E9x cars since BMW no longer produces the official retrofit kit and all the wiring looms need to be taken from a donor car.

Individual Audio retrofit

I installed the Individual Audio front door speakers to complete Phase 1.5 of my audio upgrade:

I replaced all broken clips with new ones.

Battery wiring using factory distro block:

Amp mounted to modified factory bracket, connected with DIY plug-and-play harness:

IA crossover mounted with double-sided 3M tape to inside of door card:

Next will be to replaced the underseat subs with the IA ones, though the stock HiFi ones bump a lot harder now with the added amplification.

Absolutely wish I was able to get those for mine back then, was also sparkling graphite metallic and just looks so much cleaner! Mine had 17" style 188 narrow and wide wheels, but I actually wanted to get either the "correct" looking 18" style 162 ellipsoids like what you have, or the 18" style 189 narrow and wide wheels which I now have on my current E90 LCI.

Thanks, all y'all!

I kinda' picked these up on a whim... definitely not something I needed LOL.
But yeah, they look great, especially with A22!
This 18 y.o. car just gets better and better!

They look great, may have to put them on the (long) wishlist. I feel the same about my 330i. IMO it's the absolute peak of BMW as a "ultimate driving machine". Not a dig on the 335, but the traditional BMW formula N/A straight six with the joystick and pedal is unlike anything else out there.

Yes, agreed! I don't quite get why they detuned the car by doing away the the three stage intake on the 328i. I guess to sell more 335s! BMW messed up by not putting the 3SIM on the E91. As they were only selling a single engine type, it might as well have been the better one!

I've cleared 237k and am coming up on 238... car keeps pulling hard!

They didn't really detune the 330 to make the 328 so much as they spiced up the tune on the 325. The 325 moved up to 328 and the 330 sprouted an iron block and turbo and grew up to be the 335.

I put the 3si on my 325 along with the bimmerlabs 330 tune. Next it inherits my 330s exhaust and it will be functionally a 330i powertrain.

Nice, mine is about to hit 210k and runs like a sewing machine.

3PedalJake I wish my 330 had a stock exhaust when I bought it. I would have done the same thing to my 328. As soon as the 330 gets velocity stacks I'm putting its 3SIM and a new starter on it

Interesting.

For remote turn-on, I'm using pin 10 from the amplifier plug:

Well, befitting of "Labor Day", it was a busy several days for my car (and me).

I started out on Thursday by finally opening up my gas tank (again) in order to try to fix the wonky fuel gauge reading I've had for nearly a year, ever since installing a replacement fuel pressure regulator (FPR). I've posted about this before, but the issue was that after installing the FPR, my gas gauge has refused to read properly. I've opened it again (several months ago) to check to see if I've messed up the float. Nope on either side. Each time of course requires that I time my opening of the tank to when I was low on gas, and I've used the loan-a-tool device from Autozone to open the tank. Oh, and had to fight the left side fuel line that I can seldom get to release (threatening to destroy the connector which would require either a new gas line or a new FPR...altogether a real PITA). Anyhow, after some help from another E90POST member, I recently learned about a possible problem I was having with the left side sensor (on the FPR) not sitting properly in the tank. So, I dug into the issue again (still being partially thwarted by the left side fuel line that refused to release despite much cranking with the fuel pump disabled and waiting for over an hour) and miraculously managed to get the sensor properly seated in the tank this time...and problem fixed!

That was Thursday.

Friday, I decided to replace a damaged windshield humidity sensor that has f'd up my auto climate control for well over a year...since the last time I replaced my windshield. Long story, but this was also screwing up several of the vents in the HVAC, and after yet another summer of less than par air conditioning, I decided to fix the sensor and see if that helped. Those things are ridiculously expensive...but I got it, installed it, cleared the "roof module" codes, and lo and behold fully functioning flaps in the HVAC.

Except, while doing that, my moving of the rearview mirror (or what???) managed to cause cracks in my windshield spreading quickly and vigorously from right where the mirror attaches. Damn. Fortunately, I live in the land (Massachusetts) of deductible-free windshields (if you carry comprehensive, as I do)...so it's off to Safelite for a new windshield. I needed it anyway as I had numerous chips and it was well sanded over the past 2 years when I last had it replaced.

That was Saturday.

Somewhere in there (I think it may have been Thursday afternoon) I also discovered that I had a failing xenon bulb in the 250K mile old headlight (the other side has been replaced due to an accident that took out the whole fixture at around 150K miles). I installed that...and now that's good. (Amazon has a good deal on these bulbs if you look carefully).

So, this weekend? New headlight, new windshield, new sensor, and fixed the fuel gauge issue. But the first time in quite a while that I appear to have zero codes. (lord knows what kind of bad ju-ju that statement is going to create with the BMW Gods) And technically, there's still one more day left on the "holiday" weekend.

(Oh, I also washed it. Maybe that will appease the gods.)

Sorry about that. It’s an E90post forum issue, as doesn’t happen on the other sub forums like f30post etc.
E90post doesn’t have pictures autosize to screen, like everyone else.

Took a pic at this cool office building I found, you can see it a bit better hopefully.

Oh yes, and congrats jsunma

Thanks, and warning, Tv Nerd joke incoming.

Every time I look at it, It’s definitely NTSC… never the same color (twice).

Other than driving it to the meet today , I just took it on its first out of town trip.
Raised it 2 threads in the front so about 3/8inch and then late evening Drove it a hour down i10 to Las Cruces to plug my diagnostic computer into my friend Ron’s e39 540iT so I could run inpa and help him figure out if his fog light issue was the actual switch or the LKM.
E39s dont have fog light fuses so it had to be one of the two, sadly turns out It was the fog switch cause he had a spare LKM and they are much easier to replace than the fog switch.
Then drove an hour back down the freeway back home and got to enjoy some night driving down i10 and over the mountain pass.
If I ever have to take a longer trip I think I will put the 17s back on it. 17s are far more forgiving of road imperfections.

What the alarm ultrasonic module do in the car?!?!

On a E90 it's located in the center dome light.

I've used the E90 ultrasonic , into my E91 (they are not the same, so right now mine is hidden into the headliner, so does NOTHING.

Want to know if it worth the hassle to buy the E91 version.

BTW, now my car does the bip sound and flash the lights while locking/unlocking (this module is required to do so).
