Question for the 1er guys. What upgrades does the n54 1m engine have over the regular production engine? I'm sure it's somewhere but would rather ask. Wanna see what BMW is pushing out of the n54

Went out for a grocery run, and noticed a slight grinding/shaving noise (metallic) from the front wheels. Usually hear it when I'm passing parked cars at 15-30 mph cruising. At first I thought it was the brake pads possibly stuck and rubbing the rotor or some debris in that area. i jacked up the car and took off the wheels and spun the rotors and but heard nothing unusual. Not too sure which side the noise is coming from but I'm almost positive the front.

Gee, wish I had noticed this while i was at a&l earlier today. Any ideas guys? Thought I'd post here as you guys may have experienced something similar.

Could be the abs sensor bracket. It rubs on the rotor causing a metallic squeal. They just file it down to fix it

All 135i with sport or m sport package have an oil cooler. There's no difference in the 1M motor, just the tune. It has a lighter flywheel and an ssk, or at least the throws are shorter, also the LSD and different gear ratios.

Thanks man ill look into this. Based on a few past threads here I dont think this is a wheel bearing issue, but who knows! And dammit I cant pinpoint which side this is coming from even having someone outside listening
